Apple’s ficlet made such a delightful mental image that I just had to draw it right away on Monday night, but then my Photobucket account was on the fritz, and so I wasn’t able to post the picture immediately.
“There now, shhhh, it’s all right,” the elf murmured, trying not to smirk at her sulking friend.
“Never again,” declared the ground where the dwarf was sprawled out, “am I going near that… that feathered monstrosity of yours, Ara.”
“I am surprised at you, Lisan,” Arawna said mildly. “You are a champion of the Light, are you not? I would have thought you to be braver.”
“Brave in the face of battle,” Lisan corrected, not bothering to sit up. “Never said anythin’ about being held captive by wild beasts. With no weapons. Because certain ‘friends’ thought it was funny.”
Ha Ha Ha! I enjoyed the quick sketch, then read the story. It was delightful all around. Have a great day Kamalia.
