Our grand prize winner this year is once again Rades. He’s won a one-panel Disciplinary Action Adventures comic starring one of his characters. Our two runner-ups are Christine and Anslym. They’ll each recieve a black & white sketch of one of their characters from Fyreuni of Daily Quests. Congratulations and well done, you three!
Where the Eggs were Hidden
Azeroth Apple
in the source code of the website
Bag Overflow
http://bagoverflow.wordpress.com/2011/04/24/bags-overflowing/, the pink potion second from the left in the image has an egg nestled inside it
bubblespec
http://bubblespec.blogspot.com/2011/04/proto-drake-goodness.html, clicking through the image reveals a different version studded with eggs
Cannot Be Tamed
at the bottom of the Guides page, by the “Barkskin in Tier 11″ link
Christine’s Blog
the postage stamp images of character faces in the header are linked to an Easter Egg maze
Cynwise’s Battlefield Manual/Green Tinted Goggles
http://greentintedgoggles.wordpress.com/2010/09/21/twink-titles/, at the very bottom of the post — still on the front page of the blog, but you have to scroll down a very long way to get to it
Daily Quests
look carefully at the Daily Quests Store image — an egg is hiding behind Fuzzy Tank’s foot!
Dwarven Battle Medic
a 2×2 pixel pink dot in the right sidebar between “popular posts” and “archives” pops up the “Mysterious Egg” tooltip from WoWhead on mouseover
Elfi’s World
the “Pretty Eggtastic Pink Things” link in her blogroll is a ringer! it leads to a confirmation page
Fel Concentration
on the Warlock Power Auras page, a set of auras that produces a striped egg on your screen when you acquire the “Noblegarden Bunny” buff — this is by far my favorite GBNEH2 egg — so clever, and so much effort to put it together!
Flavor Text
http://flavortextlore.wordpress.com/2011/04/10/warcraft-lore-thesis-style/, FIVE GOLDEN EGGS links to a confirmation page
Fuzzy_Magicz Magical Parlour
http://magicalparlourofmagicalsecrets.blogspot.com/2011/04/weekly-roundup-of-rumbling-buffs-and.html, fourth paragraph of “In Blogging” section, “When I started this blog” links to an older post — the French text at the bottom of the older post links to Fuzzy_Magicz’s very first blog post, which contains a link to a picture of an egg at the end.
Jaded Alt
Terrielle’s picture on the Characters & Guilds page is linked to an egg image — the pictures of all the other characters are linked to their Armory pages
Kamalia et alia
right side bar, “frEGGuent topics” (the egg on the “Party Clothes” post is from 2010)
Manalicious
http://manalicious.wordpress.com/2011/03/29/tuesday-art-day-shaedre/, Vidyala replaced the first picture of her adorable Sculpey druid with a new picture containing a basket of charming Sculpey Easter eggs — this post was also still on the first page, but required lots of scrolling down to find
Muradin Musings
Janyaa has a new follower named Peter C. Tail, following the links to his blog reveals her egg — another personal favorite
Oddcraft
http://oddcraft.wordpress.com/2011/04/22/wolf-in-peoples-clothing/, word “eggcellent” in third paragraph links to an egg image
Orcish Army Knife
http://www.orcisharmyknife.com/2011/04/alas-poor-southshore-i-think-ill-miss.html, unlike other blogs where the word “eggcellent” or others like it was indeed the egg, in this post all the pink eggs were red herrings, and the real hidden egg was absolutely Rotten — mousing over the last word of the post pops up the WoWhead tooltip for the “Rotten Hallow” quest, which references rotten eggs.
Perish Twice
http://www.martha.net/2011/04/looking-over-patch-4-1-0/, in the Talent Specializations: Balance section, “Who needs Mage food? Boomchickens now lay eggs!” is followed by a very small image of an egg that pops up “You Found It! GO YOU! XD” on mouseover — I was impressed by the sheer quantity of false eggs Stringtheory planted
Raid Trauma
Holy Priest Guide, third paragraph up from the bottom, “thinking about this eggcelent class and raiding”
red cow rise
on the Arboretum/Tree Form Memorial page, second picture up from the bottom is of Noblegarden Bunnies with eggs, not Old Tree Form!
Revive and Rejuvenate
on the Resources page, an egg has infiltrated the image of Balance spell icons (second image on page)
Scribblings on the Asylum Wall
at the very bottom of the Sum Durids Is/About the Author page
The WOW Debutante
http://wowsociallife.wordpress.com/2011/04/21/guild-storytelling-night/, “Happy Easter” link at the end leads to a picture of Chatmay standing beside a ravager egg in Hellfire Peninsula, wearing a fabulous matching outfit
Top Rosters
bottom of right hand sidebar, directory icon reading “EGG-ERNITY”
World of Saz
on the guides page, black & white picture of Noblegarden Bunny with an egg in the Stormwind Throne Room, looking up at King Varian
Many Thanks, Sincerely, to…
Angelya, for letting me take her idea and run with it!
To MMO Melting Pot and everyone else who linked the GBNEH2 or in other ways helped spread the word.
To all of you wonderful, amazingly clever bloggers who hid eggs. The really tricksy ones made me glad that I was organizing, not hunting, this year! Finding great new bloggers to read is the real treasure in this hunt.
And especially to Liala and Fyreuni for providing the prizes!

Thank you for taking this upon yourself to organize and run this year’s contest, Kamalia!
WoW! Congrats Rades, Anslym and who Me?! I didn’t even expect that haha! but really though it was fun and thanks for everyone’s effort in doing this event. Looking forward for next year again maybe! haha… anyway, thank you again Kamalia for putting this and organizing this years GBNEH. =D
This was a ton of fun! Thank you so much for taking the time and effort to host it. I need to get better at looking for eggs! Gonna have to train up for next year…
Oh! Also wanted to say, thank you to Liala and Fyreuni for providing the prizes! Grats to the winners.
I searched for a few eggs, and I must admit, I didn’t find a single one. I thought my egg was hard, but I’m going to have to step my game up for next year; some of the other bloggers were just plain evil.
Grats Rades!
[...] Congrats to the winners! [...]
Wow. I guess I didn’t realize the other denizens of BlogAzeroth were going to go out of their way to be as sneaky and downright vicious as possible in hiding their eggs. I’ll endeavour to be a bit more wily next year.
Grats to the winners!! And a big well done and thanks to Kamalia for organizing this year’s hunt
