The final prompt in Saz’s Through Your Interface series encourages us to let our imaginations take flight!
15. A Fairy Tale Image
World of Warcraft is often described as cartoony and looking a bit, well, fairy tale-ish. Take a screen shot that makes you think of a fairy tale – use Disney inspiration if you must! Feel free to edit this screen shot a bit to enhance the fairy tale feel, or just get super creative with that in game camera!

Caption This: What are the fairies saying to Kinevra?
This picture did indeed have quite a bit of help from WMV and Photoshop
Here’s a close-up of the fairies:

Vestments of the Oracle (Priest), Enigma Robes (Mage), Doomcaller’s Robes (Warlock)
It took me a long time to think of something to do for this TYI prompt because I’d already made several “fairy tale”-type screenshots with my Hallow’s End Costumes. The silly screenshot I made to commemorate Prince William & Kate Middleton’s wedding fits the “fairy tale” mold, too. Then, while I was working on my Well-Dressed Warlock post, playing with the beautiful insect-wing-inspired AQ Warlock robe finally gave me the idea I needed.
Although this is the last of Saz’s prompts, it’s not the end of the series quite yet for me because I’ve been doing them very much out-of-order — I still have two more left to do.

15. A Fairy-Tale Image
Oh the fairies are so cute! I always loved the oracle set and used it on an old banner of mine but some of the boys didn’t like it =/
I remember I was itching to post my red riding hood image from the series.
Well Done Kam
Thanks, Cymre!
I used to think that the blue Enigma robe was my favorite version of the AQ cloth gear, but now I think I like — and want! — them all about equally. Gotta get some clothies leveled up enough to solo that place….
I love it! My gnome wants wings already.
As for what they’re saying, in the fairy tales I grew up with, they tended to be evil little creatures so I think they’re planning world domination, one farm at a time.
I know! I’d love to see some more wing-like shoulderpieces.
Fairies — you just can’t trust them, can you?
I always love to see another TYI, it’s one of my favorites but I can’t figure out what those fairies are saying, I hope someone else does!
LoL, I couldn’t figure out what they were saying, either — that’s why I made it an open question
Maybe Kinevra can’t understand them, too — this screenshot uses the /excited emote, but I took a few others that used the /shrug emote.
Oh that’s absolutely gorgeous! Nice fiddling for an awesome pic!
Thanks! It was fun to put together
Yes! That’s perfect for those robes. Blizzard should add those wings as an effect, would be so beautiful.
Oooh, as an animation, like the shoveltusk ghosts on the Shaman T10 shoulders? That would be awesome — and beautiful — indeed!
Wait! I know what they’re saying now! Oh Kinevra, thanks so much for the offer of dinner, and we get to pick! Our favorite meal is Cornmeal & Pine Nut-Crusted Fresh-Caught Fish. (It’s my new favorite too, even fussy husband who doesn’t like anything new really liked it.)
XD
I’m so glad you (both) liked it!
It makes sense that fairies would like fish… they’re kind of like cats, personality-wise
[...] recently posted on Kamalia’s blog, I thought this one was worth mentioning. Check it out [...]
“Your money or your life, dirty human!”
Her posture is screaming “But… But… I don’t have any… and you’re fairies!”
Who says fairies are nice?
Seriously, though, I really like the image. The detail you achieved by miniaturizing the larger images really made the picture look very crisp.
Wonderful!
Thank you very much!
… although I can’t help hearing “your money or your life” as the bandit encounter sound file from one of BTH’s favorite games, “Mount and Blade”
