After October ended, my Death Knight, Rogue, and Warlock were most anxious to get out of the pink outfits I’d put them in. A few other characters had gotten bored of their outfits, too, so I thought I’d show off all the new outfits I’ve created recently here as well as updating the appropriate “things my characters wear” posts.

Huojin Champion

Exquisite Sunderseer Mantle, Ritual Tunic, Apothecary’s Waistband, Red Silk Trousers, Rotting Handwraps + Cuffs of Black Elements, Apprentice Boots, Renzithen’s Dusty Cloak, Huojin Tabard, Heartboiler Staff
Many of the items in this set are obtained by questing in the Ghostlands. I’ve been wanting to make a set featuring the Red Silk Trousers for some time now. The gold trim on the tabard and cloak help harmonize the fancy filigree of the heirloom shoulders with the rest of the outfit.

Hidden Serpent (Windwalker)

Reporter’s Shoulderguards, Spore-Covered Tunic, Green Belt of Hushed Wisdom, Blazerunner Leggings, Craggy Handgrips, Colossal Treads
If you’re not an Herbalist, the Gypsy Tunic, a green version of this chestpiece style, also works very well, though the overall effect is brighter. For other leather wearers, I recommend the Excavator’s Quarry Belt.

Mist-Stitched (Mistweaver)

Righteous shoulders, Imperial Leather chestpiece, Green Belt of Hushed Wisdom, Nature-Stitched Kilt, Righteous gloves, Aspirant’s Staff of Harmony
I’d been looking forward to getting to Hellfire Peninsula with Kate so that she could acquire this lovely kilt. I like how nicely the Imperial Leather chestpiece complements the kilt, and I think that the Righteous gloves also work well, but the Righteous shoulders… not so much. So this set is still something of a work-in-progress. The Imperial Leather Belt might be a good choice for other leather wearers.

Blood and Ashes

Cutthroat’s Mantle, Burnt Leather Vest, Ruffian Belt*, Nightscape Pants, Bard’s gloves & boots, Black Swashbuckler’s Shirt, Balanced Heartseeker, Stung
After having spent all that gold to acquire these shoulders for Kelisanna, I definitely wanted to use them in another outfit.
The Bandit Cinch is a suitable replacement for the Ruffian Belt.

Bride of Arugal

Ghostly Mantle*, Robes of Arugal, Belt of Arugal*/Sash of Whispered Secrets, Black Mageweave Gloves, Apprentice Boots, Light-Imbued Lantern
Another classic set for a Forsaken.
The Shadow Council Mantle works very well with this robe.

Classic Embersilk

Embersilk set with Corpulent Shoulderpads and Dark Silk Shirt
This style of cloth armor comes in several color schemes, and I like them all.
Until the Geomancer’s Spaulders show up on my AH, these shoulders are the best readily available option.

Swirling Elements


Replica/Mystical Elements set with Zulian Swirling Shield
Somehow, this set just seems to want a Trollish sort of shield. Luckily, I found a Zulian Swirling Shield on the AH for relatively cheap shortly before Patch 5.0.

Shadow Revenant

Acherus Knight’s Hood, Pauldrons of the High Requiem, Chromite chest & pants, Bogslayer belt, Revenant gloves & boots
This outfit fell together while I was playing mix-and-match to make Hallow’s End themed outfits — all I needed to do to make it an “everyday” set was find a suitable replacement for the Horseman’s Helm.
For a Dark Paladin look, use the Mask of Penance. Horde Warriors might like the Faceplate of Thunderous Rampage. Alliance Warriors might like the Vrykul look of the Arcane-Shielded Helm.

Imperial Steamsmith

Steamsmith Helm, Pauldrons of the Thorium Brotherhood, Imperial Plate chestpiece & pants, Saltstone belt & gloves, Heavy Mithril Boots, Conk Hammer
Keija crafted the entire Imperial Plate set, but when she put it on, she thought she looked very silly. Plus, the crafted set doesn’t come with gloves — what’s up with that? The chestpiece and pants from the Imperial Plate set, however, make a very solid foundation for any number of silver-toned plate sets.
I think I like this even better than my Mogolympics Hammer Throw entry using the Conk Hammer.
