First, the outfits I’m currently using for my Paladin’s Holy and Protection sets, respectively.
Pretty Pally Princess
Circle’s Stalwart Helmet, Pauldrons of the Touched, Chestguard of Bitter Charms, Legguards of the Apostle, Bloodscale belt gloves & boots, Shroud of Akali, Scimitar of Seven Stars (LFR), Aegis of the Vindicator
I’d been farming Plague Quarter of Naxx-25 for the Girdle of Unity. These DK starting zone recolor items also drop in Plague Quarter, and I happened to pick them up along the way. Looking at their powder blue color, I was reminded of a recent OLRG conversation concerning the suitability of baby blue and pink for Warlock attire — and then I just had to make this kit!
High Chief’s Justice
Justice Bearer’s Pauldrons, High Chief’s Armor & Legguards, Bog Walker’s Belt, Life Bearer’s Gauntlets + Junior Technician 3rd Grade Bracers, Fen Strider’s Footguards, Shadowvine Cloak of Infusion, Rich Purple Silk Shirt, Encapsulated Essence of Immerseus (LFR), Adamantine Kite Shield
I farmed the purple Judgment shoulders & gloves specifically to make this kit, and they will probably be the only pieces of that set that I collect. Someday, I’d like to acquire the original red/gold/black Judgment shoulders & gloves, too — but I don’t think I’ll ever collect the entirety of either set.
Next, a few more relatively recent purple kits…
Junior Technician 3rd Grade Goggles, Tattered Dreadmist Mantle, Astralaan Robe, Arcanist Belt, Widow’s Clutches, Ruby Slippers , Cloak of Azure Lights, Formal White Shirt, Staff of Twin Worlds
I’ve been wanting to make this outfit for a long time! About two years ago, I discovered the wonderful combination of Ruby Slippers + Widow’s Clutches when using Kaelinda’s current outfit as the basis for an “evening gown” for Matty’s ‘Azeroth’s Next Top Plate Model’ event. At the time, Kaelinda was between levels 65 and 70, and wearing an outfit that included these goggles, shoulders, and robe. I usually Transmogrify over these shoulders when any character but my Warlock is wearing them, but the colors match this robe so nicely that I chose to leave them alone for this kit.
Netherwind Crown, Shoulderwraps of the Enthralled, Soulcloth Vest, High Councillor’s Sash, Darkweave Breeches, Sage’s Gloves + Crystalweave Bracers, Enumerated Sandals, White Swashbuckler’s Shirt, Staff of Divine Infusion
The first of a number of outfits I would eventually like to create for Kaprikka using the Soulcloth Vest.
Elder Tortoiseshell Helm, White Tiger Mantle (LFR), High Chief’s chestpiece pants gloves & boots, Junior Technician 3rd Grade Bracers, Bloodfist Belt, Rich Purple Silk Shirt, Solianti’s Insect Smasher, Drillborer Disk
An earlier High Chief’s armor outfit, made before I’d managed to acquire the purple Judgment shoulders.
The purple noses of the LFR version of the T14 Paladin shoulders inspired me to pair them with the High Chief’s set.
I’m very fond of the combination of the blue Carapace Breaker and Zom’s Crackling Bulwark, so naturally I wanted to use the orange versions together, too!
Yak Herder Monnion/Faded Forest Chain shoulders, Darkmoon Chain Shirt, Netherfury Belt/Faded Forest Chain belt, Netherfury Leggings, Yak Herder Gauntlets/Faded Forest Chain gloves, Netherfury Boots, Breeching Comet, Lord’s Crest/Revenant Deflector
I made this purple mail set, with Enhancement and Resto variations, for mini-Kam some months ago, but didn’t make a front-page post about at the time.
Thankfully, the crafted Netherfury items no longer require the appropriate Leatherworking specialization — or even the Leatherworking profession itself — just to wear. The profession is still required for the set bonus to be active, however.
I originally designed this outfit to use the purchasable Faded Forest Chain items. As I was questing through Kun-Lai Summit, I discovered that I liked the more savage look of the Yak Herder quest reward items better for the Enhancement version of the set.
