Even Tyrande, Malfurion, and Illidan were children once. What would a little Kaldorei girl’s favorite toy have looked like? Perhaps it would have been an image of the incomparably beautiful and powerful Queen Azshara…
After nearly a month of dedicated searching and several contiguous days of grinding Archaeology until I’d almost reached the Night Elf fragment cap every day, I finally assembled Tyrande’s Favorite Doll on February 22nd. I didn’t make a squeeful post at the time because I didn’t want to interrupt the Barbershop Guide series.
Ideally, I want to partially pre-charge TFD so I can use it as early in each boss fight as possible, then have it be off CD by the time my mana drops below 70% and I drop Mana Tide Totem, and then use it on CD afterwards. I’m casting enough that it’s always fully charged again by the time the 1 minute CD is up. I’m still training myself to remember to do these things, though.
This picture may look like it was painted in Photoshop — but it wasn’t. The drawing was originally done in colored pencil. I then used the Smudge tool to smooth out the graininess of the white paper showing through in the scan. The background is a screenshot and the Doll was prepared in WMV. Traxy’s comments that Queen Azshara’s Dressing Gown actually looks rather good on Night Elves inspired the appearance of the Doll itself. 🙂
Very pretty! You integrated the different mediums together into one picture very well.
Congrats on solving TFD! I also got it about a week ago, and I love it on my restoshaman. It’ll also come in handy whenever I get around to playing one of my other healers. Now if I could just remember to use it! 😀
Thank you! Grats to you on getting your own TFD 😀
It was a great relief to finally get the trinket, and a fun picture to put together. I love that the trinket is BoA, so when I get my other healing toons leveled, I can pass it along to them.
