objectives achieved

June 6, 2011 by kamaliaetalia

The Volcano card is for Kerisa, the Tsunami card is for Kamalia, and the Hurricane (Agility) card is for BTH’s Hunter.

I started out a little slow with making Darkmoon cards, herbing in whatever zone, not necessarily until my bag was full, and making just the one or two cards those mats afforded. I didn’t really get serious about it until the start of the Darkmoon Faire was a week away. I did some reading on WoWhead and learned that Whiptail and Twilight Jasmine proc the most Burning Embers. Twilight Jasmine is kind of a pain to gather, so off to Uldum I went. In about 90 minutes, I was able to completely fill my Mycah’s Botanical Bag with Whiptail. I kept Volatile Life and Lifegiving Seeds in my regular bags. Being a little OCD about wanting perfect stacks of 20, I usually kept herbing for another 10-20 minutes after my MBB was full and ended up with 2-4 more stacks of Whiptail. This provided enough ink for 5 cards each day. Some days I made more cards because I herbed for longer or recieved donations of herbs from BTH or a guildie. By Saturday 4 June, I had made these cards:

I was able to trade for the missing Embers and Waves cards to complete my decks. After I had all the cards I needed, I gave my extra Waves cards to guildies. I have sold several, but not all, of the other excess cards so far. I may continue to make Darkmoon Cards, but not at any kind of intensive rate.

I ran several heroics (mostly on weekends), and while there’s still loot I’d like to get (hello, bracers), my item level crept up enough that adding the Darkmoon Card: Volcano was enough to tip me over the 346 threshold and into eligibility for T11 raiding and Zul’roics. Kerisa can now go to the Thursday night alt run as DPS; I haven’t even started working on her tree set yet, and I should probably run some normals to learn how to tree-heal, too.

    Grats ^^
I’m the same with stacks. Odd numbers bother me. Do you have the same deal with achievement points as well when it’s on 5? That annoys me a bit :p
