a Bountiful Feast of Bloggy Goodness
November 21, 2011 by kamaliaetalia
Come, friends, gather ’round my table

and let us, at this season of giving thanks, raise our cups in honor of the Blog Azeroth community and, more particularly, the people in the WoW blogosphere who inspire me the most.
 |
These bloggers bring the Slow-Roasted Turkey with their meaty, insightful posts about class and encounter mechanics:
Life in Group 5, Vixsin
Restokin, Lissanna
Righteous Defense, Rhidach |
 |
Like Spice Bread Stuffing, posts from these bloggers fill me up with tasty knowledge about the rich, diverse lore of the World of Warcraft:
Orcish Army Knife, Rades
red cow rise, Akabeko
Flavor Text, Catulla, Ilaniel, Normanitee, Perculia
Postcards from Azeroth, Riorel
Know Your Lore, Matthew Rossi & Anne Stickney
Ironyca Stood in the Fire |
 |
Just as Candied Sweet Potatoes are both nutritious and delicious, posts from these bloggers are often informative and always a yummy treat:
Manalicious, Vidyala
Big Bear Butt, John Patricelli
Murloc Parliament, Zelmaru & Arcane Tinker Tank
Revive & Rejuvenate, Angelya
Disciplinary Action, Liala
World of Saz
Cynwise’s Field Notes
Armageddon’s Coming!, Gnomeageddon |
 |
A helping of Cranberry Chutney adds a vibrant splash of color and tang to the plate; likewise, these WoW-fashion bloggers help me add style and glamour to my virtual life:
Kirina’s Closet
The WoW Debutante, Chatmay
WoW Roleplay Gear, Noelani & Ironyca
It’s for my RP Spec!, Tanwen |
 |
Topping off the feast with a perfect balance of substance, sweetness, and fluff are Pumpkin Pie and these delightful comics and stories:
Daily Quests, Fyreuni & Vas
From Draenor With Love, Vidyala & Rades
Need More Rage, Ratshag
Away From Reality
Beyond the Tree, Nhani
The Daily Blink, Chris Hanel & Michael Owen
Wow, Eh?, Kelly Aarons
Moar alts!, Pilfkin
I Like Pancakes, Saxsy |
A few of these fine folks deserve an extra mention for their role in how Kamalia et alia has developed. I’ve written before about what a huge inspiration Kirina was (and continues to be) to the genesis of this blog. Stories by Pilfkin, Ratshag, Perculia, Saxsy, and Akabeko have prompted me to write stories of my own or influenced how I have constructed those stories. Lore posts, when I make them, are pale attempts to follow in the footsteps of Rades, Anne Stickney, and the gals at Flavor Text. I am an unabashed Vidyala fangirl; her work is right up there at the top of my current “someday I want to make art like that” list. I’m still so grateful that Angelya let me host the Great Blog Noblegarden Egg Hunt this year. And participating in Blog Azeroth Shared Topics and other events from time to time has helped me get to know other bloggers better.
I am also grateful to everyone who has commented on my various posts. I’m not very good about responding to comments, but I do appreciate each one very much. It’s good to know that even if I’m just babbling, at least I’m not babbling into a vacuum. 😛

Thanks for Joining us Kamalia! I always admire your talent on creativity/drawing and great insights, the first time I saw your blog when I was still blogging over at my old domain Christine’s Blog and then joining in the GBNEH event and won 3rd prize! that was a lot of fun and since then Iv’e been following you! Thanks for joining in the Blog Azeroth Thanksgiving Event! You put up a great feast in your entry! I am sure our fellow bloggers will be full with all those food, so as the judges! Good Luck with your entry! ❤
It was fun to put together! Thanks for coming up with this great idea!
that’s a great way to thank everyone Kamalia!
I’m glad you enjoyed it! 🙂
Thank you so much for the link and the kind words, Kamalia! I am so glad you blog, as I always enjoy your enthusiasm and great outlook on the game. You are one of the truly bright spots in the bloggy universe. 🙂
/blush 😀
Thank you for the bloggy treats! Some treats I’ve tasted and some are new to me!
I’m glad you’ve found some fun new reads — because, really, that’s part of the point of all this 🙂
You are the sweetness at the feast, Kamalia. Thank you for the smile, I needed it today.
Aw, Vid, you’re welcome! (hug)
Love the formatting 🙂
GL!
Thanks! I enjoyed your post, too, but couldn’t figure out how to leave a comment.
This is just one more post and fellow blogger that is making a Real Life Thanksgiving pale in comparison to the rich and delectable display of imaginative and appetite pleasing meals through their words. This is going to be a blogroll addition if this is the kind of quality and thoughtfulness that is to be expected around here! Really making the darker parts of the blogging world cower in shame and envy of the penmanship being posted.
Although I have said it before, I will duel unarmed a Raid boss over some pumpkin pie, and I mean it, this event is becoming sweeter to me then a warm pumpkin pie fresh out of the oven and a chilled vat of cool whip. I would even pass up Grandma’s Apple Pie, even if she were still alive and offering it, for one more helping of this event.
Really creative and well put together entry. The judges are going to end up like the panels on Iron Chef… simply upset they cannot have second helpings with a side of Gratitude Gravy.
P.S. How does one get an icon as a google blogger when visiting and posting often on all these amazing wordpress sites?
Oh, Draccus, you are too kind!
The site you want is gravatar.com; you make an account there and provide it with a picture (or pictures), then it interfaces with blogging sites to put your picture on your comments. 🙂
Kind words Kamalia 🙂

As yours are, always, too 🙂
This is such a true post. Everyone you mentioned is awesome and deserves so much praise! I loved it and you did an amazing job!!
Hey, a food analogy ! That’s a pretty original way of saying thanks.
I think you’re doing fine with replying to comments – the fact that you’re replying is already enough to make people feel appreciated for commenting, I’d say !
I was struggling to figure out what to do for this post that would be clever and unique, when I had this idea. I’m glad people have enjoyed it!

Great blogs are like delicious food for the brain!
Likewise, your posts are always a bright spot on my blogroll! 😀
Lovely post Kamalia! I love the feast components! Thanks for the mention, but I must say I think you did a much better job at the GBNEH than I did 😉 Keep up the great work, I love reading your posts ❤
But it was *your* idea! I’m glad that the GBNEH prompted Amerence to come up with this fabulous idea for a Thanksgiving blogfest — that’s perhaps the most wonderful result of them all!
