Amateur Azerothian, Effraeti, and Tome of the Ancient have teamed up to bring Mog Madness to the WoW blogosphere! There will be five rounds, and each round will have a different “Mog Build” prompt. For the fifth and final round, the Mog Build criteria are these: create an “Anti-Paladin of the Old God” using anything that can be equipped by a Paladin or a Death Knight, must specify whether entry is an Anti-Paladin of C’thun or an Anti-Paladin of Yogg-Saron, judges say “avoid looking anything like Twilight Cultists, plzkthxbai!”
As I thought about where to start constructing a Transmogrification Template Kit to fit this persona, I soon realized that it would be an ideal use for that ridiculously goofy T12 Death Knight helm. Because saronite ore/metal is teal-colored, I decided to use the teal-colored heroic version of the helm and have my Antipaladin be a minion of Yogg-Saron.
My models for this round are two Death Knights, Kregga and Katelaira, and a Ret Paladin, Khitka.
Greathelm of the Voracious Maw (heroic), Emerald Saint’s Spaulders (10N), Adamantite Breastplate, Belt of the Forgemaster, Warleader’s Leggings, Hematite Plate Gloves, Arachnaflame Treads (heroic), Master’s Cloak, Antiseptic-Soaked Dressing, Kalimdor’s Revenge
I chose this iteration from among the outfits I assembled because it contains both Paladin-like and Death Knight-like elements. I also loved how neatly this particular very evil-looking sword could be tied into the rest of the outfit by using the bloody-bandages shirt.
