Karazhan will always hold a special place in my WoW memories because not only is it one of the best raids ever, it was my first raiding experience, and I ran it with a great guild. Those fond memories were renewed when I recently returned there with Amateur Azerothian’s not-so-farewell party.

(Speaking of blogiverse friends, a few months ago, I was quite delighted to be invited along to one of Miri‘s T11 Achievement runs. I was even more delighted when I saw that Morgion (aka Rades) was in the group!

I really love the crazy twisty inside-out design of the Master’s Library. I’ve always enjoyed watching it unfold as you go higher and higher.
We never did go into Medivh’s Chambers when I was raiding Kara at-level, so it was really cool to see them. Medivh sure liked his luxuries! 😛

Wow, I’ve never seen Medivh’s Chambers before! I wish I had started playing earlier so I could have spent more time in Kara. The first night I stepped in was a run-through (at level, but the guild was well beyond Kara level) to gear me up. I should start piggybacking on nostalgia runs…

You could come to Amateur Azerothian’s “Laid Back Loot Runs” if the time zone difference isn’t too horrible for you — though it’s crazy enough for Navimie in Australia that I imagine it would be even worse for you in Japan…
Oh wow, I’ll have to remember to look up! I never noticed that beautiful chandelier and ceiling before and I was happy Sasche followed along and got to see Medivh’s opulent bed!
The opportunity to dawdle behind the group and look *up* and around more without having to worry about being eaten by a stray mob is one of the things I really appreciate about going through a dungeon that I vastly outlevel/outgear.
Ahhh I missed this until now! It was very exciting to be able to finally “meet” you in-game and hang out for a while! 😀
Kara really is an amazing place to wander around. Narci, Cynwise and I spent a night just touring the place and reading books, finding unusual nooks and crannies, etc. Very relaxing!
