the Divine Bell

March 19, 2013 by kamaliaetalia

Yesterday, I became Revered with the Black Prince (I still have to gain 1.5K Valor for his other Test).
Today, I finally completed the Dominance Offensive Campaign.
Tomorrow, I start exploring the Isle of Thunder.

Because this is a very screenshot-heavy post, I’ve put the rest of it behind a cut:

Kamalia only met Anduin Wrynn a few times — at the temples of the Red Crane and White Tiger — but she was impressed by his words and actions and came to respect him very much.

A few other notable moments from the Landfall storyline:

Aw, look, Thrall is teaching all the kiddos! Though I think perhaps it should be Aggra teaching the kiddos and Thrall tending the baby…. Or maybe not.

During the Purge of Dalaran, Horde players can’t get close to Jaina without getting teleported into Violet Hold — so I used a Stoopid Shaman Trick to get some decent screenshots of her rampage.
Having heard about this event before I played it myself, I already felt kind of awkward visiting Dalaran with alts who are questing in Northrend. Now, it will be even more awkward and uncomfortable, and I may, with some alts, avoid the place entirely.

I was quite amused that Archmage Lan’dalok, guarding the gateway to Violet Hold, summons images of the bosses for whom he once required proof of demise. It also amused me that the images of the two dragon bosses were so much smaller than all the others (especially Loken)!

Of all the deliberately provocative things that the Shieldwall NPCs say when they aggro, this one irritated me the most. How dare you say that to me, a Shu’halo and a Shaman, a Child and a caretaker of the Earthmother?!
Of course, it didn’t help that I misremembered it as “You will not defile this land the way you defiled Kalimdor!”, which is even more insulting to a Tauren. Yesterday, after I reached Revered with the Black Prince, I continued to grind the NPCs, hoping to see that quote come up again. When, after most of an hour, it hadn’t, I looked up the quote list for the Shieldwall NPCs and didn’t find it. Perhaps that was said in the context of another quest where I was fighting Alliance NPCs? Perhaps even the Dominance Offensive scenario?
Update: I finally remembered the source of that quote. Captain Doren says it in the Jade Forest questline when he jumps into the helicopter to escape the Horde attack at Thunder Hold.

I’m gonna miss you, little buddy. You’re one savvy hozen.

I love that you featured Tak Tak’s commentary! I’ve been meaning to do a minipost (or maybe a real post) about it. His dialogue on the final journey chilled me more than anything I had seen in the entire 5.1 questline.

Tak Tak’s commentary was one of my favorite parts of the whole thing, for sure! I look forward to your insights about his insights. 😀

And yeah, that line, “I hope I see you again, friend”, really sent a shiver down my spine.

Those cutscenes and extra diversions were the best part of the rep grind. I wasn’t expecting to see Aggra and Thrall’s baby though so that was a nice surprise. Grr Garrosh!

I totally wasn’t expecting to see Aggra & Thrall’s kid, either. If the start of 5.1 was two months in story-time after the first landings on Pandaria, then those first landings must have been no more than seven months after the defeat of Deathwing — unless orcs have a different average gestation time than humans do, in which case the interval could be shorter or longer.

I don’t remember him saying they call Sha Ikk. I think that’s really appropriate though… IKKY!
I was an idiot and didn’t get to see the baby because… I am an idiot! Oh well, I’m glad you’ve got it in screenies here for me to check out Kam 🙂

Sha and sha energy are very ikky!

The kid just looks like any other orc baby that you’d see at an orphanage, so, nothing special, really, other than it being there. 😛
