Because I tend to spend Sunday afternoon and evening doing Transmogrification photo shoots, picture processing, and posting to character outfit pages, I might as well make a general post the same day of any outfits that aren’t part of some themed Transmogrification collection that I’m working on.
This edition of the Sunday Mog Show features the special Demon Invasions ensembles (which are really just an elegant recolor of the Warlords crafted gear).
Felshroud set with Nobleman’s Pantaloons, Demon Commander’s Drape, and Glaive of the Fallen
Naturally, my Demon Hunter needed to do something with the leather Demon Invasions set and the Demon Commander’s Drape. I fiddled around with some different ideas before eventually concluding that the set works best pretty much “as-is” — though I like these trousers a bit better than the set piece.
Is it just me, or would the Demon Commander’s Drape be easier to Mog with if it were darker colored — more greenish-brownish-black, like the Legion structures, instead of greenish-brownish-grey?
Felforged set with Apolyon, the Soul-Render
This sword, claimed from Kil’jaeden at the Sunwell, somehow seemed the most appropriate weapon for my Fury Warrior to use with the plate Demon Invasions set.
Shoulderpads of Twisted Fate (LFR), Fel-Infused Hauberk & Cinch, Wandering Healer’s Kilt, Exiled Dabbler’s Gloves, Terokk’s Shadowstaff
I like the cloth Demon Invasions tunic and belt, but I needed some different shoulders — to my eye, the set shoulder model just doesn’t look good on Tauren. I’d been wanting to use these T14 Mage-lookalike shoulders in a kit for my Priest, and the colors are perfect! I also wanted a skirt instead of trousers, and of the options I had avaliable, this was what I liked best.
As I mentioned last time, my Blood Elf Mage and Rogue were due for new kits.
My Mage needed to be in Dalaran Purple before going to do the Dalaran-over-Karazhan quests. This is another outfit that will be in the initial updated “Essential Dalaran Wardrobe” post that I have planned.
Darkmist Wizard Hat, Elder Wizard’s Mantle, Lesser Wizard’s Robe, Serenity Belt, Exiled Dabbler’s Gloves, Mountainsage Sandals, Shadowvine Cloak of Infusion, Kirin Tor Tabard, Staff of Dominance
Kaelinda has always considered herself to be loyal to the Kirin Tor; she had no part in the Sunreaver expedition to recover the Divine Bell.
Other than the fancy staff, this is the basic wizard-on-the-street-corner look. The NPC shoulders are not available to players; the closest matches for players are the Elder Wizard’s Mantle I am wearing here or the Elder’s Mantle. Some of the NPCs are also wearing Heavy Linen Gloves.
I had contemplated using this next idea for my Demon Hunter, but I think it works a little bit better for the Rogue.
Bloody Bandanna, Shadow Heart Spaulders (LFR), Nether Shadow Tunic, Shifting Sash of Midnight, Ceremonial Leather Loincloth, Fuzzy Gloves + Insidious Bands, Sandals of the Insurgent, Dagger of the Horde Vanguard, Quickblade of the Horde Vanguard
This kit owes a great deal to an outfit contributed by Zhau@Hellfire-EU to my “These Boots were Made for Mogging” event three years ago. Zhau’s idea was better than my own designs!
If I were to do something like this with the Demon Hunter, I’d change her blindfold to one of the fancy red-and-gold Sin’dorei-themed blindfolds instead of using the red bandanna headpiece.
If any of you, my dear readers, have kits that you’d like to share, I’d be happy to add you to the show! Just email me your picture(s), along with a list of the items in the outfit. I don’t regularly check my blog email, though, so if you’ve sent me an outfit, please make a comment on the most recent Sunday Mog Show post so that I know to check my blog email for your contribution.
