Because I tend to spend Sunday afternoon and evening doing Transmogrification photo shoots, picture processing, and posting to character outfit pages, I might as well make a general post the same day of any outfits that aren’t part of some themed Transmogrification collection that I’m working on.
Chief Architect’s Monocle, Wound-Cauterizing Spaulders, Elemental Raiment, Cord of the Slain Champion, Godfrey’s Britches, Troll Handler Gloves + Elastic Wristguards, Gnomish Inventor Boots, Peacekeeper Blade, Spring Gadget
I originally designed this kit to go with these boots for my “These Boots were Made for Mogging” event three years ago. I was definitely going for a “Gnomish inventor” look with the gear detail in the belt — which fortunately also has great colors to coordinate with the boots.
This outfit was my primary motivation for farming up the Peacekeeper Blade.
Kamaei’s Cerulean Skirt
Lightning Infused Mantle, Arachnidian Armor, Belt of Arcane Storms (N), Kamaei’s Cerulean Skirt, Replica Virtuous Gloves + Runed Spell-Cuffs, Captain Sanders’ Shirt
Kamaei’s Cerulean Skirt and the Lightning Infused Mantle are the only pieces of this lovely recolor of the classic Vanilla “Devout” set. I came up with the core concept for this outfit — combining this kilt & shoulders with this chestpiece — as a “Warlock Fashion Disaster” about four and a half years ago.
It is a delightful coincidence that this outfit coordinates so perfectly with the default appearance of Light’s Wrath!
Midrealm Hat, Rime-Rift Shoulders, Glacial Robe, Dreadwing Skin Belt, Sage’s gloves & boots, Apostle of Argus
After a Mage obtains Ebonchill, they are given a quest to speak with a spectre of a former member of the Council of Tirisfal in New Dalaran. Upon turning the quest in, they are told that there might be different spectres visible on different days. So Kaelinda decided to hang out in Frost spec for awhile and see how many memories of the Council of Tirisfal she could find.
Prior to Mists, the favored shoulders to wear with this outfit would have been the Pauldrons of Sufferance, Iceshear Mantle, or Ternary Mantle.
Yalia’s Cowl, Earthripple Shoulderpads, Robe of the Shadow Council, Felcast Cord, Exiled Dabbler’s Gloves, Saltarello Shoes, Staff of the Left Hand Path
I would have loved to have used the Spooky Scythe — the model used for Allari the Souleater’s Scythe of Souls — for this kit, but, alas, it is a polearm.
Fleet Commander’s Hat, Dread-Rider Shoulders, Nobleman’s Coat & Pantaloons, Burning Blade Devotee’s Cinch, Bandit Gloves, Rapscallion Boots
This rather formal outfit will be just the first of many pirate-themed kits inspired by the Outlaw Rogue Artifact weapon, the Dreadblades Fate & Fortune.
Although the outfit looks nice without shoulders, it somehow didn’t feel quite right for an Admiral to not have epaulets.
Ghostwalker Pads & Gloves, any sleeveless chestpiece, Moonrage Girdle, T’chali’s Kilt, Frostwolf Battle Tabard, Talon Guard Glaive
This kit mimics the appearance of the Frostwolf Envoy NPCs who used to appear in capital cities when the bonus battleground of the week was Alterac Valley.
Bonechewer shoulders gloves & boots, Silvermoon Tunic, Red Belt of Gentle Persuasion, X-52 Pilot’s Leggings, Lorewalkers Tabard, Staff of the Hidden Master
This kit is modeled after an outfit that I saw Kirina wearing during Mists. She was using the Burning Blade Devotee’s Cinch instead of the Monk class quest belt, of course.
Ravenchain set with Safari Hat and Taut Driftwood Bow
Warlords produced a couple of rather nice green and brown toned mail sets that are just perfect for a Ranger. This particular set is obtained by questing through Spires of Arak.
Glowing Righteousness (aka Syrco’s “Cyprus” Set)
Helm of Burning Rightousness, Spaulders of the Thalassian Savior, Glowing Breastplate of Truth, Girdle of the Endless Pit, Imperial Plate Leggings, Sunscale Gauntlets + Emerald Vambraces, Sunscale Sabatons, Sha’tari Anchorite’s Cloak, Tuxedo Shirt, Light’s Justice, Crystal Pulse Shield
Syrco created this outfit in October 2014 for Dragonray’s “Mog the World” contest. It was so utterly brilliant that I almost immediately began collecting the items to eventually wear it in-game with my Paladin.
Pauldrons of the Dragonblight, Sunveil Breastplate, Truesteel Waistguard (1-640), Legguards of Stratholme, Refitted Bruiser Gauntlets, Raceway Boots, Manslayer of the Qiraji
I have wanted to make the Underpowered Death Knight a set of kits matching the three colors of these Hour of Twilight dungeon shoulders to the three special Death Knight colors for Tauren — which also conveniently match the three Death Knight specializations — pretty much ever since the Dragon Soul patch came out.
Smoke, Blood, and Bone
Invidious Casque, Shoulderguards of Honest Labor, Breastplate of Vaulted Skies, Cliffbreaker Girdle & Gauntlets, Legplates of the Wandering Warrior, Demonbreaker Crushers, Drape of Iron Sutures, Shortblade of the Uncrowned
I couldn’t think of any outfits in my back-catalog of Transmogrification ideas that I’d been specifically wanting to make for Kregga, so I just picked out a chestpiece that I’d been wanting to use and went from there.
I discovered that by picking them up here and there when they were cheap on the AH, I’d acquired all of the pieces except the boots of the Mists world-drop BoE blues set that the shoulders and pants come from, but I decided to stick with the chestpiece I’d originally started with.
Keija just changed her hat and called that good.
If any of you, my dear readers, have kits that you’d like to share, I’d be happy to add you to the show! Just email me your picture(s), along with a list of the items in the outfit. I don’t regularly check my blog email, though, so if you’ve sent me an outfit, please make a comment on the most recent Sunday Mog Show post so that I know to check my blog email for your contribution.
