The Spring Balloon Festival micro-holiday has stories associated with it? And new views of the world, too! I couldn’t pass that up.
The eight balloon rides were all so different, for being variations on the same basic concept — and I loved the pseudo-interactiveness of the NPC dialog. I also thought it was fun and very refreshing that the three people didn’t all have to be the same faction. One of my balloon rides had two Alliance and one Horde (me), another had two Horde and one Alliance.

While the balloon was over Suramar City, I turned my interface back on for a moment and saw that my Masquerade button was up. So I clicked it, and was delighted to see that it was still effective while in the balloon.
Shoulda guessed that something wierd was going to happen when the balloon gal’s name was “Dorothy Gale”.
This is actually true — in-character, not out-of-character. I, the player, did not have a crush on my raid leader, the player. But Kamalia, the character, did have a bit of a crush on the male Tauren Prot Warrior character of the raid leader.
A bunch of people all showed up at once to the Valley of the Four Winds balloon, so two balloons launched just about as quickly in succession as was probably even possible.
This one is wallpaper-worthy, I think.
I’m not sure if this ant-trail of Schnottzes who’ve been kicked out of the balloon is a bug or intended; either way, it’s hilarious.
