Twenty-five… Next milestone is fifty, but because I’m not posting these every week, it won’t happen until well after the anniversary of the first post in this series.
Night Seer II
Hateful Gladiator’s Linked Spaulders, Steadfast Breastplate, Stillwater Girdle, Scaled Greaves of Patience, Bloodbinder’s Gauntlets, Hydra Scale Sabatons, Streamtalker Slicers, Titansteel Shield Wall, Nightfallen Tabard
While skimming through some of the posts I made during the first year or two after Transmogrification debuted, I found this outfit idea, and it occurred to me that it would go quite nicely with the Nightfallen tabard. I’ve kept the core components of the original design — shoulders, chestpiece, belt, and pants — but changed all of the peripheral pieces.
C’thun’s Disciple of Chaos
Greathelm of the Voracious Maw (N), Pauldrons of the Great Ettin (H), Chestguard of the Exhausted, Warlord’s belt gloves & boots, Minister’s Number One Legplates, Antiseptic-Soaked Dressing, Kalimdor’s Revenge
A palette swap of the Normal for the Heroic helm and the Heroic for the Normal shoulders, coordinating rusty-colored chestpiece & leggings, and some reddish-bluish-plum belt gloves & boots to evoke the colors of the crystals in Silithus — and lo, an anti-paladin of C’thun appears.
A detail I particularly like about this kit is the coordination between the shirt and the pattern around the edge of the sword.
Bloodfire
Circle of Flame, Shoulders of Mercy Killing (25H), Sanguine Robe, Belt of the Hero, Leggings of Mischief, Mir’s Enthralling Grasp, Plague Scientist’s Boots (25H), Dark Silk Shirt, Bloodfire Greatstaff
I’m glad that the Warlock green fire effect can be toggled on and off because this firey kit wanted traditional orange fire to go with it.
I like this style of shoulders with this style of robe a lot, though admittedly the green version of the shoulders coordinate better with the other colors of the robe than the orange version of the shoulders do with the red version of the robe.
Shado-Pan Mistdancer
Replica Shado-Pan Helmet, Spaulders of Determined Resolve, Mistdancer Vest Cord & Legguards, Bandit gloves & boots, Crimson Steel
The sigil and colors of this handsome fist weapon suggested the Shado-Pan to me — at least for a kit for my Monk. With other classes that use fist weapons, I’d go in different directions.
Bogslayer
Bogslayer set with Gilded Thorium Cloak and Big Black Mace
Is a “bogslayer” someone who slays things that live in bogs, or is it a thing that lives in bogs that slays intruders?
I like the stripeyness of this set.
Barricade of the Blues
Pauldrons of Conviction, Chestpiece of High Treason, Greatbelt of Living Waters (LFR), Legplates of the Argent Armistice, Gauntlets of Revelation, Boots of the Treacherous Path, Fang of the Leviathan, Barricade of Eternity
This outfit concept — combine the shield from Malygos’ lair with the blue dragon pauldrons — proved unexpectedly difficult to pull together satisfactorily. Nothing that I already had in my collection was working quite right. When I went and looked at items I hadn’t collected yet, it seemed like this chestpiece & leggings — which I already had on my “things to get” list — might be just what I needed. The dungeons those items drop from are kind of annoying to run for mechanics reasons, so thankfully they were worth the effort it took to get them.
~*~*~
This series of posts began because I set myself a goal to document new Transmogrification outfits in a more timely fashion. As soon as I create a new outfit, I write it up in a draft post. As the weekend approaches, I start working on taking fashion screenshots, processing them, and updating “Things my [Class] Wears” posts. On Sunday — though not every Sunday — I publish the collection of my recent efforts. Then I begin the next “Sunday on the Promenade” draft post.
Occasionally, I have ideas for themed Transmogrification collections that take several months to completely assemble. Thus, some of these outfits might get re-posted at a later date as part of such a themed Transmogrification collection.
If any of you, my dear readers, have kits that you’d like to share, I’d be happy to add you to the show! Just email me your picture(s), along with a list of the items in the outfit. I don’t regularly check my blog email, though, so if you’ve sent me an outfit, please make a comment on the most recent Sunday Mog Show post so that I know to check my blog email for your contribution.
I really like your Promenade series, you pick the perfect places for a the screenshot!
Oh, thank you 🙂 Figuring out the best place to take the pictures is part of the fun!
I was just gonna say the exact same thing! What a good thought – also seem to make it all “come together” with the matching “era”, if one can say that – Thanks for sharing, Kamalia 🙂
Thank you very much!
I really love your transmogs and hope to be able to get off my behind and get some of mine updated as well – these were totally awesome.
TY! Go for it!
