A collection of Transmogrification Kits actually worn in-game by my Tauren Hunters. Outfits are listed from most recent to least recent. Items that are no longer obtainable are marked with an asterisk (*).
78) Dress Pretty and Carry a Big Gun
Truesight Ice Blinders, Fireplume Plumage, Iridescent Warcloak, Triumphant Chestpiece, Skettis Gauntlets, Fireplume Insignia, Triumphant Legplates, Skettis Footwraps, Recoilless Rocket Ripper X-54
I chose the Skettis gloves and boots to coordinate with the purple hues at the bottom of the cloak.
The only bow I had that was pink/purple enough was Huhuran’s Stinger, but its shape aesthetics make it a Nope. That this huge gun seemed somehow right for the outfit was a bit of a surprise.
77) Darkmoon Trickshot
Darkmoon Harlequin’s Bells with Bronze-Tinted Sunglasses, Gauntlets of the Dragonslayer, Dragonstalker’s Greaves, and Thas’dorah (upgraded, tint 1)
Getting most of these screenshots was more like “lucky” shots than “trick” shots — I don’t think I could capture any of those exact frames of the animation again if I was trying for them.
76) Ignited Fletching
Maulgar’s Warhelm, Fireplume Plumage, Fireplume Halter, Golden Filigreed Doublet, Fireplume Flarewraps, Merciless Belt, Fireplume Coverts, Netherstorm Greaves, Skyfire Hawk-Bow/Thas’dorah (basic, 4th tint)
This outfit has a bunch of little elements that I really like. The T2 recolor hat is perfect for a Hunter wearing the Fireplume Regalia. This shirt coordinates wonderfully with the Fireplume Halter; note to self, use this combo again. Any excuse to use these vivid magenta boots is worth taking. The Skyfire Hawk-Bow has just the right combination of color and similarity of design without being over-complicated. Naturally, I also had to try it with the red tint of Thas’dorah to get a quiver on the back to go with the name I’d already decided to use for the outfit.
75) Unicorn Hunter
Snake Spaulders, Stormstrike Vest, Cerulean Filigreed Shirt, Dragonstalker’s Gauntlets, Band of the Night Raven, Expedition Forager Leggings, Treads of the Wasteland, Thalassian Compound Bow
According to the dates on the image files for Ketura’s previous outfit, she’d been wearing for a little over two years. I finally got tired enough of seeing it to put forth the effort to make her something new. This outfit is adapted from one I originally made for my Dwarf Shaman (#8).
I gave the outfit this name because its colors are similar to the color scheme associated with the resurgence of unicorns as a motif in popular culture in recent years.
74) Green and Gray
Thick Scale Shoulder Pads, Soldier’s Armor, Helbrine, Der’izu Legguards, Grips of the Fel Destroyer, Soldier’s Boots, Taut Driftwood Bow
I’ve collected a fair amount of green mail, which makes a good fallback for when my Hunter wants a new kit but I don’t have any burning inspiration.
73) Dragon Tamer
Thelwater’s Steelwoven Eyepatch, Gaping Maw Shoulderguard, Dragonrider’s Harness Legguards & Grips, Lifecycle Waistguard, Azsh’ari Stormsurger Striders, and Bleak Scythe
Ketura just knew that she would look like a total badass in the Dragonrider’s gear.
This Vrykul-styled polearm from Wrath is a perfect complement to the armor.
72) Ancestral Survivalist
Ancestral Chieftain’s Armor with Bloodmail Hauberk*, Sunfury Legguards, and Spear of Rethu
Although I really liked the mail chestpiece & pants I’d chosen for Kawneiha, I didn’t want to just repeat that combination for Ketura’s kit. I’d tried these pants as an alternate for Kawneiha’s set, so I knew I liked them with the rest of the pieces, but it took a few iterations to find a chestpiece that worked. The chestpiece I’m using dropped from Old Scholomance; if you haven’t got it, I also liked the how the Stage 1 Wayfaring Tunic looked.
71) Ancestral Hunt Leader
Ancestral Chieftain’s Armor with Felstalker Breastplate, Scale Leggings of the Skirmisher, and Bow of the Great Hunter
I’m not all that fond of the chestpiece and leggings of the Shu’halo Heritage Armor, so I thought I’d try swapping them out for some other pieces.
Kawneiha will probably wear this kit for a very long time.
