Sunday on the Promenade 141

January 16, 2022 by kamaliaetalia

I wanted to take pictures for one of the outfits in this installment of the Sunday Mog Show at the Darkmoon Faire, so it got delayed by the calendar bug. It’s been so long now since the last installment that this one is a bit of an oversized edition, with multiple characters having two outfits in the show.

Astral Insight

Dazzling Spectacles, Celestial Observer’s Constellations Starshroud & Buckle, Pure Sight Vestments & Slippers, Formidable Legguards & Gauntlets, Lifepath Hammer, Melody Defender’s Bulwark
This ensemble is mostly a mashup of the Celestial Observer’s and Pure Sight sets. I thought it might look neat with some silver pants — and these bluish-silver Classic pants look like they were made to go with this chestpiece!

Soothsayer

Mystical Headwrap, Sympathetic Amice, Foxhollow Drape, Initiate’s Necromantle Vestments, Belt of Arcane Storms (N), Coalwalker Sandals (H), Jaina’s Staff
The coordination between the robe and the turban is the core concept of this kit.

August Celestial Observer

Celestial Observer’s Ensemble with Anacondra’s Robe, Cushy Cenarion Walkers, August Celestials Tabard, Starshard Edge, and Divine Companion
As I’ve mentioned before, I like the patterning on the sleeves and skirt of the Celestial Observer’s Robe, but I’m not a fan of its bulky dimensional chestplate. When I thought of substituting this robe, naturally I immediately had to do it.

Empyreal Aspirations

Empyrial Cosmic Crown, Waylight Shoulderpads, Drape of Twisted Loyalties, Aspiring Aspirant’s Robes & Handwraps, Cord of Uncertain Devotion, Ringo’s Blizzard Boots, Spectral Censorite’s Staff
These gold and white shoulders from Bastion leveling are rapidly becoming one of my favorite pieces from this expansion.

Inquisitor at Court II

Court Inquisitor’s Vestments with Gleaming Crypt Keeper’s Mantle, Soulbreaker’s Crimson Mantle & Sash, Sandswept Sandals, Sinfall Ceremonial Blade, and Anima-Infused Muck
More playing around with mix-and-match of the 9.0 and 9.1 Venthyr cosmetics. See also Blood Elf Mage #116 and Warlock #78.

A Black Dragon Princess

Circle of Flame, Ravencourt Formal Mantle, Shroud of Resolve (stage 1), Robe of Volatile Power, Wild Gladiator’s Cord of Cruelty, Ruby Slippers, Shadow Wing Focus Staff
Kazulyxia is the Black Dragonflight counterpart of Kazuligosa. She is, of course, wearing the robe made famous by Onyxia in her guise as Katrana Prestor. The rank 1 version of Wrathion’s Battle for Azeroth Legendary Cloak also seemed highly appropriate for this outfit.

A Blue Dragon Princess, Again

Windchaser Coronet, Slaughterhouse Spaulders, Celestial Observer’s Starshroud Buckle & Astral Walkers, Glacial Robe, Tempest’s Touch, Rod of the Broken Temple/Frostbitten Staff
Another Blue Dragonflight kit for Kazuligosa to complete this set of outfits representing the Classic dragonflights.
The Celestial Observer’s Starshroud is perfect for Blue Dragonflight RP because it evokes their ancient seat of power at the Eye of Eternity.
This kit has a fancy version and a plain version because I couldn’t decide which version I liked better.

This series of posts began because I set myself a goal to document new Transmogrification outfits in a more timely fashion. As soon as I create a new outfit, I write it up in a draft post. As the weekend approaches, I start working on taking fashion screenshots, processing them, and updating “Things my [Class] Wears” posts. On Sunday — though not every Sunday — I publish the collection of my recent efforts. Then I begin the next “Sunday on the Promenade” draft post.

Occasionally, I have ideas for themed Transmogrification collections that take several months to completely assemble. Thus, some of these outfits might get re-posted at a later date as part of such a themed Transmogrification collection.

I always forget about how good the background is for the Malygos raid. You’ve captured the Blue Dragon essence very well.

The Eye of Eternity has the best “space” background in all of Warcraft!
