The point of making a To-Do List is to feel a sense of progression, achievement, and accomplishment by crossing things off of it when they are completed, yes?

It’s the end of the year, so now it’s time to revisit the “Bucket List” that I posted at the beginning of the year, with all the stuff that I actually managed to accomplish crossed off.

* Complete the Good Suramaritan (27 January) and Suramar Insurrection (15 March) storylines with Kaelinda

* Level Hunter (April 20), Druid (May 4), Paladin (May 12), Warrior (May 28), Priest (June 3), Death Knight (June 11), Monk (June 14), Warlock (July 1), and Rogue (July 2) to 110

* Complete 7.0 Order Hall Campaigns for Druid, Warlock, Rogue, Hunter, Monk, Warrior, Priest, Paladin, Death Knight (last Order Hall Campaign completed on 28 July)

* Do enough of Broken Shore with each character to obtain their Legionfall Champion

* Do Argus campaign with Kiralaira

* LFR Emerald Nightmare with Kerisa

* Do the Blacksmithing questchain with Keija at least until she can craft the Demonsteel set

* Level Kaylynda to 110 (May 28)

* Recruit Nightborne, do Void Elves, and Highmountain Tauren

* Kerisa needs to be Exalted with Dreamweavers. Keija needs to be Exalted with Valarjar. Karaelia wants to be Exalted with Valarjar because Valarjar tabard is pretty and has colors suitable for “I wanna be SHINY!” Mogs. Kaohana needs to be be Exalted with Valarjar to be able to obtain the Hidden appearance for the Holy Artifact. All Tauren will want to be Exalted with Highmountain (still working on this…).

* Continue Paragoning Highmountain with Kamalia and Suramar with Kaelinda until moose and flying carpet mounts have been obtained (I abandoned Paragoning for Highmountain because the moose mount for recruiting the Highmountain Tauren Allied Race is cooler looking anyway, but I am still stubbornly plugging away at Suramar with Kaelinda)

These objectives were not achieved, and I may or may not get around to doing them because I’m getting itchy to just move on to Battle for Azeroth content already

* Do enough of Broken Shore with Kaylynda to see the Anduin-retrieves-Shalamayne cinematic

* Do the Xe’ra’s Revisionist History Of Illidan questline with Kiralaira

* Do the Deaths of Chromie scenario with Karaelia to earn the bronze version of the plate dragon head shoulders

I didn’t accomplish everything on my list, but I’m pretty happy with what I did accomplish!

After the oh-so-cute capybaras, the thing I am most excited for about Patch 8.1 is the generalizing of reputations — specifically, the loosening of reputation-based restrictions on Transmogrification.

Hooray for my Void Elf Mage not having to spend time grinding the Argent Tournament to be able to wear the Silver Covenant tabard! Or the Isle of Thunder to wear the Kirin Tor Offensive tabard!

Hooray for my Demon Hunter being able to wear the Giant-Friend Kilt even though she’s never bothered with the Sons of Hodir!

Hooray for my Scryer-aligned clothies being able to wear the Aldor Anchorite’s Robes!

Hooray for only needing to get to Exalted with the Order of the Awakened on one character!
I think that tabard is so pretty, but the thought of grinding out that rep with every charater who might want to wear it was more than I could bear.

Last week, Kiralaira finally reached Exalted with Argussian Reach.

At last, Kaylynda and Alleria Windrunner could go in search of the renegade Magister Umbric and his followers…

I have played through the Ghostlands many, many times on my Horde characters — it’s one of my favorite level 10 – 20 zones — so it felt both familar and strange to be there with an Alliance character. I had to remind myself to go around Tranquilien instead of through it.

While we were in the Ghostlands, naturally I had to take Alleria to see her sister. I couldn’t quite figure out where to stand to put Alleria right next to Vereesa, though.

Did Dawnstar Spire always have this upper level, and I never saw it because I never looked up, or is this a new addition? It’s so pretty… If a Void Elf comes back to Dawnstar Spire on the ground, can they see and use the teleportation console to get up here?

Telogrus Rift itself doesn’t impress me much. It’s another scrap of a fallen world, like Niskara or Mardum or Dreadscar Rift, that looks like it should be airless and very, very cold — only with purple void goop instead of green fel goop. My new Void Elves were happy when they finished Alleria’s training and were able to return to the warmth and sunlight of Azeroth again. They will probably not go back to Telogrus very often, if ever.

These characters have stories, or fragments of stories, at any rate, which someday perhaps I will get together enough to be able to tell.

I chose the skin tone that appeared the most pink to me for Kaelyla and the one that seemed the next-most-pink for Kishalla. I find it a bit ironic that in this expansion where Sylvanas is public enemy number one of the Alliance, it is Alliance players who can most closely mimic Sylvanas’s appearance by being a Void Elf with the darkest blue skin tone and the silver hair.

Well, Battle for Azeroth is here.

I’ve still got a lot of stuff I want to do in the Broken Isles, though, and I’d rather do most of it now than leave it as loose ends that I may or may not ever come back to later. Besides, I’ll probably have a better time in Battle for Azeroth content if I wait until the first round of adjustments go out in Patch 8.1 anyway… 😛

Kiralaira needs to do the In the House of Light and Shadow questline — at least until I get to the “go get umpteen oojimies from dungeons” part — so that I will understand that scene with Xe’ra and Illidan on Argus better. She also needs to get to Exalted with the Argussian Reach because Void Elves.

Kaylynda needs to pursue the Legionfall Campaign at least until she gets to the “Anduin reclaims Shalamayne” questline and cinematic.

Karaelia and Kregga need to spend some time on the Broken Shore farming Nethershards so that they can acquire the Armaments of the Silver Hand and Armaments of the Ebon Blade, respectively.

Ketura, Karaelia, and Keija didn’t actually finish the Highmountain questline while they were leveling. They need to go back and do that as part of my larger goal to get all of my Tauren to Exalted with Highmountain so that they can use the War Harnesses as accessory pieces for Mogs.

Kaohana needs to get Exalted with the Valarjar so that if and when she ever reaches level 120, she can come back and solo Halls of Valor until Hyrja drops the piece for the Hidden appearance of Tu’ure.

Several characters still need to get to Exalted with Suramar for their Order Hall set shoulders.

Everyone needs to get to Revered with Armies of Legionfall for the “poor man’s flask” Repurposed Fel Focuser.

Karaelia needs to thwart all of the Deaths of Chromie so that she can get the bronze version of the dragonhead shoulders. She also needs to go recruit Maximillian of Northshire as a Champion for her Order Hall.

Kaelinda found the Lost Mail and returned it to Madam Goya — now I need to take some time to go do the rest of the Postmaster questline. And she refuses to leave the Broken Isles until Thalyssra has given her a Leywoven Flying Carpet.

Because it is, coincidentally, Mother’s Day, I’ll put this outfit first. Kerisa happened to be wearing this outfit when she did Highmountain. I liked how it looked with the baby basket, and she is the only one of my Tauren characters who has marriage and a child already established in her RP story.

Shu’halo Furs

Bristlebark/Lupine set with Chieftain’s Headdress, Sentinel Girdle, Cape of Thunder Bluff, Thunder Bluff Tabard, and Agamaggan’s Quill
Because of the Lionfur Armor — a brighter, more golden version of the chestpiece of this set which is a rare drop from a Mulgore rare spawn (and is therefore hideously expensive on the AH) — I think of this style of leather armor as being characteristically Tauren.

Sunwalker Defender

Glorious Headdress, Runic Plate Shoulders, Plate of the Shaman King, Thorium Belt, Imperial Plate Leggings, Warbringer’s Gauntlets & Sabatons, Cerulean Filigreed Doublet, Insignia Cloak, Battlehammer of the Sunwalker, Saltstone Shield
Several years ago, I designed a set of outfits representing the three Paladin specs specifically for Tauren Paladins. It’s about time that I actually wear them. This kit, as you might guess, is for Protection Sunwalkers.
This chestpiece is the only Transmogrifiable item out of the set worn by Aponi Brightmane and Sunwalker Saern.

Magatha’s “Apprentice”

Rancorbite Spaulders, Wild Combatant’s Ringmail Armor & Gauntlets, Warmongering Gladiator’s Waistguard of Victory, Vindictive Gladiator’s Ringmail Kilt, Spell Axe of the Speaker
“Do exactly as I say, child.”

Broken Peaks Stormshaper

Seaspray Mantle & Grips, Chestguard of the Stormspire, Vintage Duskwatch Cinch (N), Nobundo’s Earthshaper Kilt, Nifflevar Bearded Axe, Lifeforce Hammer
I was inspired to create this outfit by seeing a Tauren Hunter at Trueshot Lodge who was wearing this chestpiece & kilt combo (with different accessory pieces). This kilt is a reward from the Nobundo side-quest during the Battle for the Exodar scenario. When I did that scenario with Kam, I’d been partied with BTH and we’d thought that the quest was bugged because waves of imps (the first stage of the quest) just kept coming and the quest didn’t seem to be advancing. So we abandoned it. I did the Nobundo side-quest with Kaelinda when she did the Battle for the Exodar scenario, then skipped it with all my other alts. Fortunately, I hadn’t done the Battle for the Exodar scenario yet with mini-Kam, so I took her through it to acquire the kilt.
This axe, which is a Vrykul Archaeology rare item from Wrath, and this mace, which is a Blacksmithing crafted item from Cataclysm, share such similar design elements that I think they must have been created by the same artist at the same time — and therefore they ought to be used together by a character who can double-wield 1H weapons.

Hodir’s Breath

Circle’s Stalwart Helmet, Bloodcraver Pauldrons, Breastplate of Avenging Flame (N), Royal Qiraji Belt, Legguards of the Emerald Brood (N), Gauntlets of Purification, Boots of the Fallen Hero, Razorscale Talon
It was time to go back to being frosty. I picked out a weapon that I didn’t think I’d used for a Frost kit yet and went from there.

Crimson Pugilist

Adventurer’s Bandana, Tribal Vest, Feral Cord, Wolf Rider’s Leggings, Bard’s Gloves & Boots, Tabard of the Scarlet Crusade, The Horseman’s Sinister Slicer
Although my Rogue is limited to using daggers or swords, a Monk ought to use an utterly simple fist weapon such as these classic brass knuckles with this kit.

Everburning Knowledge

Regalia of Everburning Knowledge (LFR, lookalike) with Exiled Dabbler’s Gloves, Arcanist Boots, Revenger, Scepter of Passionate Reprisal
Like the Throne of Thunder Warrior set, the Emerald Nightmare/Nighthold Mage set is another case where I think that the LFR coloration is the most attractive.

Leyfrost

Leywalker set with Frostscythe of Lord Ahune
This coloration of the Legion leveling cloth set is obtained in Azsuna.
With another character, I might have chosen another weapon — but for my Warlock, this scythe was the most best choice.

Gladiatorial Pretensions

Fearless Gladiator’s Felskin Helm & Gloves, Cruel Gladiator’s Felskin Spaulders & Tunic, Sinister Ashfall Cord, Felshroud Boots, Acolyte’s Shirt
I bought these two PvP sets with Marks of Honor gained by using the insta-WQ Order Hall perk, of course.
This top goes beyond skimpy and absurd into ludicrous. Those two flaps of leather wouldn’t be effective at protecting — or concealing — anything, especially during the acrobatic dance of heated combat… Fortunately, the Acolyte’s Shirt, sold by Thomas Yance in Old Hillsbrad, is both sleeveless (to still show the upper arm tattoos) and the right color to blend in nicely with the rest of this outfit.
Although I really like the design of this hat, it clips rather badly with the long braid over the shoulder hairstyle. Because the high tail is high enough to clear the scarf in the back, Kiralaira will wear her hair that way until she changes her clothes again.

This series of posts began because I set myself a goal to document new Transmogrification outfits in a more timely fashion. As soon as I create a new outfit, I write it up in a draft post. As the weekend approaches, I start working on taking fashion screenshots, processing them, and updating “Things my [Class] Wears” posts. On Sunday — though not every Sunday — I publish the collection of my recent efforts. Then I begin the next “Sunday on the Promenade” draft post.

Occasionally, I have ideas for themed Transmogrification collections that take several months to completely assemble. Thus, some of these outfits might get re-posted at a later date as part of such a themed Transmogrification collection.

If any of you, my dear readers, have kits that you’d like to share, I’d be happy to add you to the show! Just email me your picture(s), along with a list of the items in the outfit. I don’t regularly check my blog email, though, so if you’ve sent me an outfit, please make a comment on the most recent Sunday Mog Show post so that I know to check my blog email for your contribution.

A handful of outfits that I’ve designed for the Sunreavers’ Alliance rivals, the Silver Covenant. Because I don’t have many high-level Alliance characters, some of these outfits are modelled in-game by my Horde characters and thus don’t use the tabard.

Aldor Covenant

Pauldrons & Vestments of the Aldor, Nethershard Girdle, Gloves of the Fallen Wizard, Staff of the Unknown Road, Silver Covenant Tabard

Silver Seer

Theramore Arcanist’s Hat*, Pauldrons of Sufferance, Seer’s Robe, Sage’s belt gloves & boots, Cloak of Cheerful Flowers, Greatstaff of Righteousness, Silver Covenant Tabard

Silver Covenant Razor

Supple Shoulderguards Waistguard & Gloves (all 3-670), Lo’ap’s Tunic of Muck Diving, Leggings of the Sly, Crafty’s Gaiters, Steelforged Dagger (1-630)

Some years ago, I designed this outfit for mini-Kam.

Stormcaller of the Silver Covenant

Skyshatter (T6) Shoulderpads, Blue Dragonscale chest & leggings, Doc’s Belt, Sundered gloves & boots, Cloak of Cheerful Flowers, Devout Aurastone Hammer, Spellbreaker’s Buckler

Elves can’t be Shaman, though, so this kit wouldn’t quite work for a Quel’dorei. After Legion converted many low-level mail items into plate, thankfully the original Blue Dragonscale items were retained as mail — and plate lookalikes were created.

So I’ve created two updated versions of this outfit: one in mail for a Hunter, and the other in plate for a Quel’dorei Paladin or a Ren’dorei Warrior.

Arrowsplitter of the Silver Covenant

Shoulders of Lightning Reflexes, Blue Dragonscale Breastplate, Doc’s Belt, Blue Dragonscale Leggings, Finder’s Keepers, Star-Strider Boots, Lohn’goron/Crypt Fiend Slayer

Silver Covenant Spellbreaker

Imperial Plate Shoulders, Breastplate of the Lost Paladin, Lurker’s Girdle, Plates of Aku’mai, Warsong Gauntlets*, Icebane Treads, Silvermoon War-Mace, Spellbreaker’s Buckler

The first character for whom I made a Sunreaver outfit was my Warrior. I made a rather dark kit, then had an idea for a brighter kit. When I made Sunreaver outfits for other characters, I decided to do a darker outfit and a brighter outfit for each of them, too.

At the time that I made my Warrior’s outfits, the (Tournament) Sunreaver and Sunreaver Onslaught tabards were identical. At some time before Patch 7.0, the Sunreaver Onslaught tabard was changed to look somewhat different from the (Tournament) Sunreaver tabard.

Left: (Tournament) Sunreaver tabard; Right: Sunreaver Onslaught tabard

~*~*~

Dark Sunreaver Juggernaut

Great General’s Crown, Shoulderguards of Empty Memory, Druidic Guardian Plate, Goblin Girdle, Legguards of the Shattered Hand, Embercrusher Grips, Deathseed Crushers, Greatsword of the Sin’dorei, Sunreaver Onslaught Tabard, Red Workman’s Shirt

Battleforged Sunreaver Firecaller

Helm of Affinity, Magnificent shoulders, Battleforge chestpiece belt gloves & boots, Bloodmail Legguards*, Ancient Scepter of Sue-Min, Scarlet Filigreed Shirt, Sunreaver tabard

Dusky Sunreaver Herald

Bonechewer Shoulderguards, Raging Spirit Harness, Murkblood Belt, Fel Leather Leggings, Blacksting Gloves, Goat Hide Boots, Wind-Reaver’s Dagger of Quick Strikes, Amber Slicer of Klaxxi’vess, Sunreaver Tabard

Ebon Sunreaver Battlemage

Cowl of the Grand Engineer, Mantle of the Elven Kings, Cindercloth Vest, Black Belt of Knowledge, Pantaloons of Growing Strife, Gloves of Tyri’s Power, Saltarello Shoes, Ebon Filigreed Doublet, Angerstaff, Sunreaver Tabard

~*~*~

Bright Sunreaver Juggernaut

Voice Amplifying Greathelm, Dawnsteel Shoulders, Ursa’s Embrace, Forgemaster’s Shattered Shackle, Lavacrest Leggings, Gauntlets of the Immovable, Sabatons of the Humble, Sin’dorei Warblade, Sunreaver Onslaught Tabard, Red Workman’s Shirt

Glimmering Sunreaver Firecaller

Helm of Affinity, Glimmering Mail shoulders chestpiece belt & boots, Bloodmail Legguards*, Gauntlets of Divinity*, Firescribe Dagger, Bloodforged Guard, Scarlet Filigreed Shirt, Sunreaver tabard

Blazing Sunreaver Herald

Bloody Bandanna, Shoulderpads of Vehemence, Primalstorm Breastplate, Burning Blade Devotee’s Cinch, Ghostclaw Leggings, Razzeric’s Racing Grips, Murkblood Boots, Scarlet Filigreed Shirt, The Sunbreaker, Sunreaver Tabard

Golden Sunreaver Battlemage

Crown of Endless Knowledge, Shoulderpads of Knowledge’s Pursuit, Red Mageweave Vest, Voidweave Cilice, Leggings of Eternity, Primal Combatant’s Gloves of Prowess, Ritual Sandals, Golden Filigreed Doublet, Sun-Infused Focus Staff

~*~*~

Other Sunreaver outfits

Scarlet Sunreaver Battlemage

Primal Combatant’s Amice Cord & Gloves of Prowess, Cindercloth Vest, Felheart Pants, Sorcerer Slippers, Scarlet Filigreed Doublet, Staff of the Forest Lord, Sunreaver Tabard

Aethas’ Second

Circle of Flame, Soot-Covered Mantle, Elemental Raiment, Silver-Thread Sash, Leggings of the Enslaved Idol, Constructor’s Handwraps, Sandals of Rash Temperament, Sunreaver Tabard, Archmage’s Staff*

The Sun Reaver

Helm of the Crestfallen Challenger, Spaulders of Manifold Eyes (H), Bloodfist breastplate girdle & greaves, Legguards of Abandoned Fealty, Gauntlets of the Immovable, The Sun Eater, Sunreaver Tabard

My, my, it has been awhile, hasn’t it?

All of these characters have been wearing these outfits for three or four weeks by now. What with one thing and another, though, I’ve been having difficulty finding time to play at an acceptable hour of the day for taking screenshots — my server time is two hours ahead of my local time, so 9 pm local is 11 pm server… right when it switches over from daytime lighting to nighttime lighting.

Silver Covenant Spellbreaker

Imperial Plate Shoulders, Breastplate of the Lost Paladin, Lurker’s Girdle, Plates of Aku’mai, Warsong Gauntlets*, Icebane Treads, Silvermoon War-Mace, Spellbreaker’s Buckler
This outfit is a revision of a kit I originally created in mail for mini-Kam. The shoulders, chestpiece, and leggings are plate lookalikes of the crafted mail Blue Dragonscale set. The Bellipotent Gloves are a good alternate for the gloves.
I haven’t done Silver Covenant rep with Kyraleia, so looking at the outfit with the tabard on in the Dressing Room will have to suffice.

Arrowsplitter of the Silver Covenant or the Blue Flight

Shoulders of Lightning Reflexes, Blue Dragonscale Breastplate, Doc’s Belt, Blue Dragonscale Leggings, Finder’s Keepers, Star-Strider Boots, Lohn’goron/Crypt Fiend Slayer
A modified version of an outfit originally designed for mini-Kam — but elves can’t be Shaman, so I’ve re-envisioned it for a Hunter.

Zealous Houndkeeper

Helm of Affinity, Ravager’s Mantle, Inferno Forged Hauberk, Scarlet Belt & Gauntlets, Oronok’s Old Leggings, Bloodmail Boots*, Tabard of the Scarlet Crusade, Ashjre’thul, Crossbow of Smiting
I know there’s a full Scarlet Crusade mail set, which can be purchased at the Darkmoon Faire by a mail-wearer wearing the Scarlet Crusade tabard — but I’d rather build my own kit.
I wasn’t feeling quite satisfied with any of the gun or bow options available to a level 60 character, so I looked at crossbows, which I rarely use. Huh, when did I get this crossbow? Ah, it drops in Blackwing Lair. I must have picked it up while I was farming BWL with all my alts about a year ago, but I didn’t pay much attention to it because I prefer guns or regular bows.

Blazing Leaves

Bloodscale Helm, Darksoul Shoulders, Overlord’s Chestplate & Legplates, Thorium Belt, Bloodforged gloves & boots, Firebreather, Bloodforged Shield, Tabard of the Scarlet Crusade
This kit combines ideas from outfits originally designed for Dragonray’s “Mog the World in 80 Days” competition by PlaidElf of Plenty of Paladins, to represent the country of Georgia, and SyrcoOwl, to represent the country of Canada.

Daughter of the Stars

Buoyant Shoulderpads, Replica Sorcerer’s Robes, Belt of False Promises, Gandling’s Gloves, Footfalls of Memories, Mok’Morokk’s Beat Stick, Darnassus Tabard
I wanted to use Queen Azshara’s Dressing Gown for this outfit, but even though the actual item is equippable at level 51, which would suggest that it should be Moggable by characters in the Classic level bracket, the appearance requires level 78 to use because it is a lookalike of the Naxx 25 Mage tier chest 😦

With a high-level character, I’d probably use the Spire of Defiance for this kit.

Travelling Sky-Knight, revisited

This is an outfit that mini-Kam first wore a couple of years ago. At the time, I commented that I wished that there was an item like the Orb of the Sin’dorei for every playable race, so that I could show what the outfit would look like on a Dwarf. Making my recent post about ways to change your race without changing your clothes, too, reminded me that I could model this outfit on a Dwarf by going to Old Hillsbrad — so I put the outfit back on her and did just that. I’ve added these new pictures to the entry for this outfit on the appropriate “Things My Shaman Wears” post.
