Kamalia is my first and best beloved character, a Tauren Resto Shaman with an Elemental off-spec.
et alia is my army of alts.
Expect to see a grab-bag of posts about what I’m doing with my alts, fun things to wear, sporadic bouts of storytelling, silly things I’ve drawn, and occasional commentary upon current game news.
BTH stands for my “Bear Tank Husband”. When he played WoW (which he hasn’t for a few expansions now), his “main” was his Bear Tank. He has a scattering of alts of various classes and levels, but he has far fewer total characters than I do.
In real life, I am a tenured associate professor of chemistry at a two-year college in the rural Mountain West. Although I have a PhD, I’d much rather teach than do research, so this is literally my dream job. I belong to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. I am in my early 40s. BTH is a software developer. I made my own Wedding dress. After about a decade of marriage and a series of unsuccessful medical interventions, including IVF, we adopted two children (both boys). Our second attempt at IVF succeeded, giving us our third child (also a boy). Our adopted children are of a different ethnic background than we are, making us a mixed-race family.

In June 2012, I was interviewed by the Twisted Nether Blogcast for Episode 171 of the show. We talked about how I got into WoW, how I got into blogging about WoW, and various other game and blogging related topics. I may transcribe the conversation at some later date, but for now, go give it a listen!

World of Warcraft and terms/concepts, images, logos, and other materials related to it are trademarked/copyrighted to Blizzard Entertainment in the United States and various other nations. I’m grateful that Blizzard lets me play in their world, both in the game and as a blogger writing about and creating art based on the game.
