A collection of Transmogrification Kits actually worn in-game by my Void Elf Rogue. Outfits are listed from most recent to least recent. Items that are no longer obtainable are marked with an asterisk (*).

1) In the Shadows of the Shadows

Replica Darkmantle Armor with Wicked Leather Headband and Vibro Knife
I’d thought about getting this set for my Demon Hunter — and indeed I have seen it on other Demon Hunters — but it wasn’t until I made a Void Elf Rogue that I had to have it to Mog over her heirlooms.
Kyrieana is a double agent — though she now appears to be working for the Alliance, her true loyalty remains with Silvermoon. On assignment from the Regent-Lord’s intelligence corps, she infiltrated Magister Umbric’s group. Her reports contributed to Regent-Lord Theron’s judgment that their research into the Void was too dangerous. She remained with the group after they were banished from Silvermoon to continue monitoring their activites; thus, she found herself trapped with all the others when the Incident occurred at the Telogrus Rift. When Alleria at last allowed her to leave Telogrus, Kyrieana made her way to the Ghostlands as quickly as she could and pledged renewed loyalty to Silvermoon, and her intention to keep reporting the activities of the ren’dorei to the Regent Lord, to Halduron Brightwing.

A collection of Transmogrification Kits actually worn in-game by my Blood Elf Demon Hunter. Outfits are listed from most recent to least recent. Items that are no longer obtainable are marked with an asterisk (*).

33) Empyrial Windblade

Empyrial Deep Crown, Arinor Keeper’s Spaulders, Wild Draenish Vest, Arinor Keeper’s Belt, Salamander Scale Pants, Mountainscaler Leather Gloves, Overgrowth Cutter Boots, Mana Wrath
I chose to use swords — and specifically this sword — for this kit so that it would be an outfit that could realistically be worn by a Draenei Windwalker Monk.

32) Hand of Illidan

Cursed Vision of Sargeras, Demon-Rend Shoulderblades, Shaladrassil Tunic, Illidari belt bracers & boots, Bladefang Legguards, Fuzzy Gloves, Slayer’s Tabard, Warglaives of Azzinoth/Twinblades of the Deceiver (upgraded, first tint)
Many of Illidan’s minions in Outland wear either the Green Trophy Tabard of the Illidari or its purple variation. Almost all Legion Illdari NPCs wear an upgraded version of the Green variation. Patch 8.0 made the new Illidari tabard available to Demon Hunter PCs as well from their Order Hall armor vendor.

31) The Legion Must Fall

Fel-Proof Goggles, Demon-Rend Shoulderblades, Dominant Combatant’s Felskin Tunic, Felshroud Belt, Scouting Trousers, Cranefeather Gloves, Interrogator’s Bloody Footpads, Shroud of the Final Stand, Legionfall Tabard, Illidari Warglaive
I think this tabard looks pretty awful. Nevertheless, Kiralaira insisted that she needed to get Exalted with the Armies of Legionfall and make a kit with their tabard — something about the fall of the Legion being the destiny and purpose of existence of a Demon Hunter, et cetera, et cetera. She achieved this feat predominantly through rep tokens from Champion missions and Kirin Tor Emissaries — and I probably won’t ever actually complete the Legionfall campaign with anyone.
With appropriate substitutions for shoulders and weapons, this outfit would work for any of the leather-wearing classes.

A collection of Transmogrification Kits actually worn in-game by my Tauren Monks. Outfits are listed from most recent to least recent. Items that are no longer obtainable are marked with an asterisk (*).

62) Brewery Apprentice

Brown Brewfest Hat, Murkblood Chestpiece & Belt, Shard-Covered Leggings, Barrel-Aged Gloves, Stolen Talrendis Boots, White Linen Shirt, Fu Zan (upgraded, This Side Up tint)
This outfit is a cross between the outfits worn by the competing brewery apprentices — the Thunderbrew/T’chali’s version has the brown chestpiece and belt (the Barleybrew/Drohn’s version is golden) and the Barleybrew/Drohn’s version has the green shorts (the Thunderbrew/T’chali’s version is brown).
I also like how this looks with the Misthide Shoulders

— and the Netherstorm Eyepatch combined with the Antiseptic Soaked Dressing would bring to mind the beleagured Battered Brewmaster who recruits adventurers for the Coren Direbrew encounter.

61) Endless Summer

Warmongering Gladiator’s Ironskin Helm, Shoulderpads of the Chosen Dead (N), Bladed Chaos Tunic, Supple Waistguard (stage 2), Primal Combatant’s Legguards, Supple Gloves (stage 3), Mud Encrusted Boots, Tabard of Summer Flames, Staff of Endless Winter
This outfit didn’t have quite the right balance of orange and blue until I added the hat. Yowzah, this hat and these shoulders make a fantastic combo! I should remember to use them together again in a non-silly-holiday outfit…

A collection of Transmogrification Kits actually worn in-game by my Night Elf Druid. Outfits are listed from most recent to least recent. Items that are no longer obtainable are marked with an asterisk (*).

7) Cyclops’ Ruin

Rune-Enscribed Hood, Fire-Chanter Shoulders, Decaying Herbalist’s Robes, Riplimb’s Lost Collar (N), Skygrip Handguards, Steppebeast Boots, Wild Wood Staff
Lord of Icecrown from WoWable requested a design for a Druid kit using the Mythic version of the Spur of the Great Devourer from Hellfire Citadel. I don’t have that weapon myself, so I chose an alternate staff with similar coloration and pointyness to actually make the kit with after I’d designed the outfit in the Dressing Room.
I thought that the creepiness of this Warlords Monk tier-lookalike hood would go well with the creepiness of the intended weapon. Then I built the outfit around the teal-contrasted-with-rust color scheme of the hood.
Here’s how the kit would look with the Spur of the Great Devourer:

I like how the overall effect of the ensemble has turned out — but now I’m having some totally different ideas for a Druid kit to go with this weapon…

6) Drassil Defender

Conqueror’s Nightsong Cover, Furious Gladiator’s Wyrmhide Spaulders, Malfurion’s Vestments of Conquest, Girdle of Lenience, Mana-Saber Hide Gloves, Dark Leather Boots, Darnassus Tabard, Kihrawr’s Scratching Post
Kerithian was wearing this outfit (without the tabard) when she went to meet with High King Wrynn in Stormwind. Athough she is personally not particularly fond of Teldrassil and Darnassus, after she arrived in Kalimdor and began to understand the situation there, she put on the Darnassus tabard to express her support for her beleagured kin.

5) Guardian of Hyjal

Nordrassil Headpiece & Wrath-Mantle, Merciless Gladiator’s Wyrmhide Tunic & Legguards, Girdle of Nefarious Strategy (LFR), Heth’Jatari Battlegloves, Leyman’s Boots, Staff of the Verdant Circle
Kerithian was one of the druids who tended Nordrassil during its recovery following the battle with Archimonde. She left Nordrassil to assist in the areas surrounding Shaladrassil after the defeat of Xavius in the Emerald Nightmare.

4) Frost-touched Flamestrider

Shoulderpads of the Chosen Dead (LFR), Flamestrider Robes, Supple Waistguard (stage 3), Trickster’s Leggings, Supple Gloves (stage 2), Warmongering Gladiator’s Boots of Victory, Tabard of Summer Skies, Frostbitten Staff
The cloth Silksand Wraps is identical to this leather robe. The rest of the outfit would look quite different in cloth, though!

3) Druid of the Summer Flame

Jewel of the Firelord, Passive Resistor Spaulders (H), Vestment of Summer, Manimal’s Cinch, Murkblood Gloves, Dragonhawk Boots, Funeral Pyre (N)
Although I used Firelands shoulders in the outfits I made with this robe for all the other armor types, the Druid Firelands shoulders just weren’t right for it. I made up for it by using a Firelands weapon. I was going to call this outfit “Leyara’s Legacy”… until I saw on Wowhead that in BfA there will be a set that closely resembles the Druids of the Flame.
If I had it, I would use the Hidden appearance for the Scythe of Elune, Sunkeeper’s Reach, with this outfit.

image from Wowhead
Acquiring it requires Exalted rep with the Dreamweavers and getting a rare drop from the first boss of Darkheart Thicket. I’ve been feeding Kerithian Dreamweavers rep tokens, but she’s nowhere close to Exalted, and she hasn’t done any dungeon running. Kerisa has the rep, but she hasn’t run Darkheart Thicket often enough to see the item drop.

2) Vindictive Archdruid of the Alliance

Vindictive Gladiator’s Dragonhide Armor with Conqueror’s Nightsong Cover, Runesworn Grips, and Intensity
It’s so nice that when I purchase a PvP appearance with a Horde-side character, I also get the corresponding Alliance appearance. I’m so very very fond of the blue-white-gold color scheme that whenever there is gear with faction-dichotomous appearances, I almost always like the Alliance version better.

1) Spring Rain

Springrain Armor
Boosted characters recieve this set of armor. It can also be obtained from the Warlords Garrison Salvage Yard.

58) Nether Devoured

Crown of the Forest Lord, Dreadleather Shoulderguard, Netherfiend Chestpiece, Relic Hunter’s Cord, Netherfiend Trousers, Cannonball Loader’s Grips, Griftah’s Authentic Troll Shoes, Cerulean Filigreed Doublet, Malroc’s Staff of Command
Lord of Icecrown from WoWable requested a design for a Druid kit using the Mythic version of the Spur of the Great Devourer from Hellfire Citadel. I don’t have that weapon myself, so I had to choose an alternate staff with similar coloration and pointyness to actually make the kit with after I’d designed it in the Dressing Room.
This outfit went in a very, very different direction than I originally thought it would — nothing remains of the original idea that I started with.
Here’s how it would look with the Spur of the Great Devourer:

57) Alunaria’s Adornments

Conquerors Nightsong Cover, Mantle of Gnarled Overgrowth, Shaladrassil Tunic, Hozen-Speed Waistband, Kilt of Immortal Nature, Shardtooth Gloves, Dreadlord’s Tattered Wingcover (LFR), Embroidered Shirt, Tabard of the Dreamweavers, Warmongering Combatant’s Battle Staff
This beautiful Dreamweavers outfit was originally designed by Alunaria. I couldn’t make it with Kerithian because she doesn’t have the rep for the tabard yet. As I thought about it, I liked how doing it with Kerisa instead (with a few substitutions for items I don’t have) would show some cross-faction we-all-weep-for-a-World-Tree-in-the-Moonglade-and-the-Dreamgrove Druid solidarity.

56) Grove Keeper

Garb of the Astral Warden (LFR-lookalike) with Nordrassil Headpiece, Runesworn Grips, and Scythe of Elune (Pillar of Creation tint)
There weren’t very many Legion raid sets that I wanted enough to LFR for them. This was one of them.
The hat I would love to use with this outfit is the Crown of Courage from the Lunar Festival.

The T5 hat is almost as good, though — I only noticed recently that it has those little leaves wrapping around the head!

55) Guardian of the Dream

Conqueror’s Nightsong Cover, Veil of Turning Leaves, Moonglade Robe, Shado-Pan Initiate’s Belt, Leggings of the Chosen Dead (N), Shining Buckle Gauntlets
Kerisa was finally ready to finish her Order Hall Campaign — and to do so, she needed to look the part of The Archdruid.
I left the Trial of Valor pants on because I liked the way their side panels looked on the robe.

54) Garb of the Chosen Dead

Garb of the Chosen Dead (N) with Icecore Staff
I finished the quest and now I have these awesome shoes in two colors!

53) Aspirant’s Garb of the Chosen Dead

Garb of the Chosen Dead (LFR) with Nibelung
Kerisa was fortunate enough to have the Ensemble for the LFR version of the Trial of Valor set drop for her while she was working on the quest to get the Normal version.

52) Shu’halo Furs

Bristlebark/Lupine set with Chieftain’s Headdress, Sentinel Girdle, Cape of Thunder Bluff, Thunder Bluff Tabard, and Agamaggan’s Quill
Because of the Lionfur Armor — a brighter, more golden version of the chestpiece of this set which is a rare drop from a Mulgore rare spawn (and is therefore hideously expensive on the AH) — I think of this style of leather armor as being characteristically Tauren.
Kerisa happened to be wearing this outfit when she did Highmountain. I liked how it looked with the baby basket, and she is the only one of my Tauren characters who has marriage and a child already established in her RP story.

51) Darkmoon Flower Seller

Songbird Blouse, Dervish Belt, Leggings of the Fang, Inscribed Leather Gloves, Dark Leather Boots, Cloak of the Darkmoon Faire, Staff of the Verdant Circle
“All I want is a place somewhere,
Far away from the cold night air,
With one enormous chair —
Oh, wouldn’t it be loverly?
Lots of coal making lots of heat!
Lots of chocolate for me to eat!
Warm [face (?)], warm hands, warm feet!
Oh, wouldn’t it be loverly!
Someone’s head resting on my knee
[Nice and cozy (?)] as it could be
Who takes good care of me —
Oh, wouldn’t it be loverly…”
My Fair Lady
(If you’re going to wear the Darkmoon Top Hat to get that sweet 10% XP and rep buff, you might as well own the look.)

47) Carmine Dashing Scoundrel

Fierce Gladiator’s Leather Armor with The Dreadblades (upgraded, default tint)
This set has so many fabulous little details — and the hat was a Must Have!

46) Horde Scout

Fireguard Shoulders, Bladed Chaos Tunic, Aitokk’s Belt, Tough Mushanhide Leggings, Warhide Gloves, Black Featherlight Boots, Orange Martial Shirt, Scout’s Tabard, Wild Combatant’s Slicer
The boldness of this outfit in proclaiming “as a Horde Scout, I am exactly where I am supposed to be” was good cover for Kelisanna as she poked her nose into every aspect of Sylvanas’s operation in Ashenvale and Darkshore to make a full report for Regent-Lord Theron.

45) Quel’dorei at the Sunwell

Brutal Gladiator’s Leather Armor with Blue Linen Shirt and The Dreadblades (Pillar of Creation tint)
This ensemble, the Rogue PVP counterpart to the Sunwell raid set, is the outfit worn by Vereesa Windrunner.

44) Soot-Stained Glitter

Helm of the Fire Festival, Mantle of the Fire Festival, Vest of Forceful Fury, Headhunter’s Belt, Mennu’s Scaled Leggings, Gloves of Issued Challenge (LFR), Felshroud Boots, Master Builder’s Shirt, Alysra’s Razor (N)
A silly outfit for the Midsummer Fire Festival.
Because there isn’t much in the way of either gilding or solid bright yellow in leather, leather was the most difficult armor type to make an outfit to wear with this holiday hat and shoulders. Dark with gilded accents seemed like the best way to go.

43) Crimson Pugilist

Adventurer’s Bandana, Tribal Vest, Feral Cord, Wolf Rider’s Leggings, Bard’s Gloves & Boots, Tabard of the Scarlet Crusade, The Horseman’s Sinister Slicer
Although my Rogue is limited to using daggers or swords, a Monk ought to use an utterly simple fist weapon such as these classic brass knuckles with this kit.

42) Silvermoon Torch Runner

Bloody Bandanna, Silvermoon Tunic, Burning Blade Devotee’s Cinch, Ghostclaw Leggings, Bonechewer Spikegloves & Shredboots, Yaungol Fire Carrier
Shortly after Transmogrification debuted, I participated in an Olympics-themed Transmogrification contest hosted by JD Kenada of Amateur Azerothian. Each contestant was assigned a faction to represent, though they only had to use the colors & thematic motifs of that faction in their first outfit, a kit for their flag-bearer in the opening parade of nationsfactions. I got Silvermoon, and designed a kit very much like this for my flag-bearer/torch runner.
I’ve made a few outfits that were very similar to this for Kelisanna in the past, but with the most recent Winter Olympics fresh in memory, I thought it an opportune moment to make this particular variation on the theme.

41) Omen of Plunder

Crown of Dark Blossoms, Bonechewer Shoulderguards, Festival Suit, Rope-Grip Gloves, Felshroud Boots
The black tint of the upgraded appearance of the Outlaw Artifact swords or the base red tint of the Mage Tower Challenge rapiers would also be fabulous with this outfit.

Four years ago, for Winter Veil 2013, Erinys created for me a beautiful set of outfits inspired by the Tauren creation myths found on scrolls hanging in the big tent on Elder Rise in Thunder Bluff. Ever since then, I’ve been wanting to actually make those kits in-game for my characters to wear. Although I haven’t created them exactly as Erinys originally designed them, I think that the changes I’ve made are consistent with her vision.

~*~*~

Before the Age of Memory, the gentle Earthmother breathed upon the golden mists of dawn. Where the amber clouds came to rest, there were endless fields of flowing wheat and barley. This was the basin of her works – the great basket of life and hope.

Endless fields of flowing wheat and barley
Erinys wrote: This is built around one of my favourite items in-game, the conifer cone staff. In my head, the Greatmother is a Shaman so this outfit had to be mail.

Crown of Flame (H), Mantle of the Golden Forest, Khan’s chestpiece, Engraved Girdle, Valorous Earthshatter Kilt, Bloodlust Gauntlets, De’rizu Greaves, Amber Filigreed Doublet, Conifer Cone Staff

Crown of Flame (N), Mantle of the Golden Forest, Khan’s chestpiece, Engraved Girdle, Valorous Earthshatter Kilt, Bloodlust Gauntlets, Amber Filigreed Doublet, Giant Club, Sternhorn’s Shield
Unfortunately, in the current Legion weapon paradigm, Shaman don’t use staves. I’ve made this kit in Resto spec so I could use this club, which seemed like a reasonable substitution, and I’ve picked a quintessentially Tauren shield design to go with it.

~*~*~

The Earthmother, her heart heavy with her children’s plight, could not bear to watch them fall from grace. In her grief, she tore out her eyes and set them spinning across the endless, starry skies. An’she and Mu’sha, seeking to ease the other’s sorrow, could only chase each other’s faint glow across the sky. The twins still chase one another with every turning of the world.

The Twins: An’she
Erinys wrote: I decided against going for the obvious golds and yellows, choosing to focus more on the dawning and setting sun, those delicate shades which paint the whole sky with just some subtle hints of gold to suggest the sun at its midday peak. The Sun had to be plate, whether I was influenced by those lines from Shakespeare’s Richard III,

Now is the winter of our discontent
Made glorious summer by this sun of York;

or perhaps I’ve just pvped too much but it makes me think of arrogant warriors and paladins charging into battle.

Crown of Empowered Fate, Pauldrons of the Souleater, Commander’s Armour, Belt of the Seven Seals, Triton Legplates, Gauntlets of the Righteous Champion, Gothic Sabatons, Amber Filigreed Doublet, Ashkandi, Greatsword of the Brotherhood

Crown of Empowered Fate, Pauldrons of the Souleater, Commander’s Armour, Belt of the Seven Seals, Triton Legplates, Gothic Plate Gauntlets, Avenger’s Greaves, Amber Filigreed Doublet, Cataclysm’s Edge
The gloves Erinys chose drop from an AQ40 optional boss that is even now very difficult to solo due to its mechanics. So I swapped sets for the gloves and the boots.
Because of Mr Rossi at Blizzard Watch, I think of Ashkandi as a Warrior weapon. So I used this sword instead because it has colors that gorgeously coordinate with the rest of this ensemble and I’ve long wanted to use it for a Ret Paladin kit.

The Twins: Mu’sha
Erinys wrote: This could only be a cloth transmogrification with the Mooncloth Robe at its heart.

Moonsoul Crown, Aurora Mantle, Mooncloth Robe, Relentless Gladiator’s Cord of Salvation, Safeguard Gloves, White Tuxedo Shirt, Redemption

Moonsoul Crown, Aurora Mantle, Mooncloth Robe, Warmongering Gladiator’s Satin Gloves, White Swashbuckler’s Shirt, Staff of the Faithful
At the time that Erinys designed this outfit, the Safeguard Gloves were the closest to all-white gloves that were available. I even farmed them up specifically so that I could later make this kit. In the interim, however, these bright white gloves became available.
This robe has always been difficult to find a good belt for because it really looks better without one. I think Erinys picked a great belt for her original design — but now that belts can be hidden, hiding the belt was definitely what this outfit wanted.

~*~*~

This tale speaks of how the Earthmother gave the Shu’halo the love of the hunt. The Tauren became great hunters, but one spirit eluded them, Apa’ro, the white stag (called Malorne by the Night Elves.) The Tauren hunted Apa’ro to the ends of Azeroth, and finally the stag fled into the heavens. where his great antlers became tangled in the starts. As the moon, (Mu’sha) chased her brother across the skies, she saw the helpless stag, and immediately fell in love with him.

The White Stag
Erinys wrote: The fact that Malorne’s a Druidic icon, so to speak, meant that this set had to be leather. We know that he is a pure white stag so the Boneshredder set seemed like the perfect starting point for this.

Crown of the Forest Lord, Boneshredder Shoulderguards, Boneshredder Jerkin, Heraldic Belt, Jinxed Hoodoo Kilt, Boneshredder Gloves, Dreamer’s Dragonstaff

Crown of the Forest Lord, Pauldrons of Malorne, Boneshredder Jerkin, Moss Cinch, Jinxed Hoodoo Kilt, Ghostwalker Gloves, Conifer Cone Staff
Because I couldn’t use the Conifer Cone Staff in the Earthmother kit, I decided to use it in the Malorne kit, instead. Then this belt seemed like a good addition, to pull in a little bit more of that orange from the eye in the staff. I felt like this Malorne-themed kit should have something from the Druid tier set named for Malorne, so I’ve put in those shoulders.

~*~*~

Thank you so very very much again, Erinys! ❤
